Some HoK siblings banter + encouragement, featuring the other main ship in this story, which I don't think I've introduced yet.

Afternoon shone bright off the cobblestone, but the great oak shaded Chorrol’s plaza.
Reptilious leaned against a wall, his brooding face speckled with sunlight and shadow as he stared at the plaza.
“Hey, Til,” Lecrinn slid up next to him, “Praelyn needs to know what all ingredients you have.”
He continued staring onward, no change in his expression.
“Til?” She furrowed her brows. “Tilious!”
“Hm?” he looked at her. “Yeah, I’ll be right there.”
“What are you-?” she turned.
He looked startled. “Let’s just go!”
“Oh!” she smirked.
In the middle of the square, under the great tree, sat Dar-Ma with a crowd around her.
Lecrinn turned her smirk to Reptilious, he glaring back. The smirk softened. “Will you just tell her already?”
Crossing his arms, he looked away. “There’s nothing to tell.”
“Oh please, you’re madly in love with her.”
“I’m not madly in love.”
The smirk grew. “He says madly.”
“Look at her!” he waved an arm at her talking and laughing with the crowd. “She’s the heart of Chorrol, probably everyone’s in love with her.”
“Maybe, but is she in love with everyone?”
“Practically?”
Clasping her hands together, she gave a teasing tone. “But you’re her hero.”
He turned his head away, muttering, “Doesn’t mean she’s in love me.”
“She could be!” She threw her hands apart. “You won’t know if you don’t tell her.”
His head lowered, starting to look more pouty than mad.
Her face hardened, deep seeded fears showing through as she spoke quiet and serious. “We’re in the middle of a crisis, in times like these our friends are what holds us up. You need to let yourself lean on them, and you need to let them know how much they matter, ‘cause they’re in this crisis too.”
Crumpled face softening, he looked toward Dar-Ma.
Turning from one side of the crowd to the other, she paused as she saw Reptilious, eyes brightening and smile widening at him.
Anger melting away, he returned it with a soft but stricken smile.
She continued turning to the crowd, eyes taking a little longer.
Heart lighter, he sighed. “…Maybe you’re right.”
Lecrinn looked proud of herself.
With a slight snicker, he turned to her. “Kind of ironic that you’re the one telling me this, huh?”
Reptilious helps Lecrinn train. Or: Enemies to siblings HoKs wave sticks at each other.
Inspired by a comment @babyblueetbaemonster made, saying that if Garrus and Lecrinn sparred, he'd try his best to never hit her. And you're so right. XD I was going to send you a snippet from this for the trick-or-treat ask, but I realized it was almost finished. XD So here it is. Thanks for the inspiration, friend! 🫶

Clack, clack, the sounds of wooden swords striking together rung through the field.
Lecrinn stepped back, swinging her sword wildly to block Reptilious. She stumbled, foot hitting a tree root, and landed with her back in the dirt.
He spoke in his usual flat, almost annoyed, sounding tone. “You keep panicking and losing your footing.”
“Yeah, I got that,” she snapped. As she sat up, his hand lowered into her vision. She paused, pushed her stubbornness aside with a sigh, and took it, letting him help her up.
“Maybe we should try again slower?”
“OK, just give me a minute.” She dropped her sword and walked over to where she left her things on a nearby rock, picking up a water pouch. “Thanks for helping me train.”
“No problem, always happy to swing objects at you,” he smirked.
She wrinkled her nose at him before throwing her head back in a big gulp. Setting the emptied pouch down, she picked up a handkerchief. As she wiped her face, she muttered in annoyance, it growing after each comma. “I tried to spar with Garrus and he kept swinging two feet away from me, and claimed I was just good at dodging, I wasn’t even moving.”
He snorted.
She lifted her hair to wipe the back of her neck. “And when I asked the other guards, they looked terrified,” her face wrinkled in annoyed confusion.
“Garrus has to, I think if he were to accidentally hurt you he’d just spontaneously die.”
“And the other guards?”
He looked away with a wide laughing smile. “Oh they’d die too.”
Tossing the handkerchief, she walked back over, scooping up her sword. “It might’ve helped if we’d had these training swords.” She looked it over, admiring how it felt like a real sword in her hand. “Where’d you get these?”
“I swiped them from the Fighter’s Guild.”
Her gaze and brows rose with an amused smirk.
He scowled back. “It’s just an expression, we’re allowed to take whatever we want from the guild halls, you’re not rubbing off on me.”
“Sure,” she snickered. He suddenly rushed at her, her eyes going wide with a quick scream, swinging her sword up to block.
Clack!
“See, that’s more like it.”
She huffed. “You said you were going to go slower!”
Among my snippet files I also have a jokes file where I write things in script format (it's not very full). The context of this one would be that Praelyn and Reptilious were traveling together and ended up on a quest to stop some troublemakers, just to get there I find out that the troublemakers are Lecrinn and Rann.
Reptilious: Really, Rann? I expected this from her, but you? Actually, no, I expected this from you too.
Rann: It wasn’t my fault! She talked me into it!
Praelyn: What did she say?
Rann: Uh…
Lecrinn: I told him it’d be fun.
But that doesn't quite feel like enough, so have one more:
Reptilious: *At Lecrinn* You kidnapped the emperor?!
I was tagged by @babyblueetbaemonster on this fine, definitely a Wednesday. :D I was also tagged by @inkysqueed some time ago, so I'm rolling them into one and sharing two snips. Wip snips! XD
And I tag you both back! :D Along with @druidx @emeraldhazeart @katastronoot and anyone who wants to be.
One snippet from something that'll hopefully be posted soon:
“People run into each other on the street all the time.”
“And when they run into thieves, they tend to lose things.” He held out a hand, palm up.
And one from something further off:
The guards looked worried as Lecrinn passed, for she walked with purpose, and a smirk.

I was going to come here and ask if this was stupid, but honestly I like it even if it is, so I'm keeping it either way. XD But I still want to talk about it, and am curious if it has the right effect, so:
(And since it's an Oblivion snippet: @druidx @babyblueetbaemonster @inkysqueed )
I always use italics to indicate onomatopoeia, like here:
Click, click, click, snap! Lecrinn paused. Pulling the pick out and holding it up, she grimaced as it was only half of it. “Uh,” she turned to the others, nervous, “would any of you have a lockpick?”
So a few lines later I used it in part of a word to evoke the sound:
Reptilious sneered. “Criminal only brought one pick?”
“You try hiding picks in your mouth while getting arrested!” She threw it at him, it tinking against the floor somewhere between them.
Followup to I Got You. Reptilious makes good on his promise to annoy Lecrinn later when he catches her stealing.
A.K.A. Lawful vs thief enemies to siblings shenanigans. XD

The Skingrad streets were crowded and bustling.
A man in dressed in finery attempted to weave his way through. Reaching a crossroad, he staggered as a Redguard woman ran into him.
“I’m so sorry,” she whipped towards him as she passed.
He just huffed and hurried on his way.
Watching him go, she started to smirk.
“Lecrinn.”
Already annoyed, she turned to an angry Argonian, Reptilious.
“Give it back.”
She looked confused, annoyance not entirely fading. “Give what back?”
“Whatever you just stole.”
“Unbelievable,” she crossed her arms, looking offended, “You didn’t even see me take anything, and you’re accusing me anyway.”
He just continued his flat glare.
“People run into each other on the street all the time.”
“And when they run into thieves, they tend to lose things.” He held out a hand, palm up.
“I didn’t, but even if I had he’d be able to afford it.” She turned her head away in anger, subtly surveying the street.
“Making a run for it will get the guard’s attention. Plus I’ll just catch you again when we set out together.”
Her shoulders dropped in a silent huff. She turned her glare to him, “I don’t even need to run,” before marching away.
He ran a few steps to walk beside her. “And you don’t know that he can afford it, that could’ve been all he brought with him.”
“Oh no,” she said in fake exaggerated sadness, “he might have to learn what it’s like to be poor for a day.”
“He might not be as rich as he looks, or he might’ve been going to help someone with that-”
“I’m going to help someone with it.”
“-Or something else important,” he narrowed his eyes at her. “My point is: when you take from a random person on the street, you don’t know what situation you’re taking from.”
Face crumpling, she looked away, too stubborn to listen now.
“And I can’t in good conscience, let you get away with it when I could’ve done something.”
“Well you can’t do anything about it, so you’re good.” She hurried ahead.
His annoyed glare shifted into a smirk, having been waiting for her to be annoying like this.
Coming to another crossroad, she stopped as a horse-drawn carriage slowly went by.
Stepping up beside her, Reptilious stared ahead, face and tone casual. “So do you cuddle all of your friends goodbye?”
She looked confused.
He smirked at her. “Or just Garrus?”
Eyes widening, she quickly looked the other way. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“The two of you standing by the road, in each other’s arms, looking like you never wanted to leave; ringing any bells?”
“No,” she sounded genuine while watching the carriage with increasing impatience, “you must be mistaken.”
“I can still tell it, which I will if you don’t give back what you stole.”
“Who could you tell?” Her annoyance came back full force, “No one else would be as obnoxious about it.”
“What about your thief friends?”
She turned to him. “You don’t even know who my thief friends are.”
“I don’t have to, I just have to spread it through the Waterfront.” His smirk widened. “I wonder what the Thieves Guild will think of you cuddling with guards.”
Her face reddened as her glare deepened. “It wasn’t cuddling, it was just a hug!”
“A long hug.”
She turned nervous. “So we lost track of time!”
“‘Cause that usually happens,” he laughed.
She glared him down, forgetting about the carriage as it rolled out of the way.
He held his palm out. “So what will it be?”
“Two can play at this, you know.”
“Oh?”
“I could tell the Imperial Legion that you committed blackmail.”
He stared flatly. “You’re going to tell guards that I blackmailed you into giving back what you stole?”
She took in a long, angry breath. “…Fine.” She rifled in her bag, dropping the coin purse into his hand with a sassy splay of her fingers.
“Thank you,” he turned back where they came.
“You’re not welcome!” She raised a fist at him. Once he was gone, Lecrinn looked to her fist, opening it to some coins she’d slipped out of the purse. With a quick smirk, she crossed the street.
