So, I know I like girls
I'm watching Insatiable, and it just occurred to me that girls could like me back
I hate this trend of calling out and making people sorry if they write something you donât approve of.  Look. nobody learned by having a gun to their head.  Well learned WELL anyway.  Learning takes mistakes.  Its one thing to point out âhey this could be betterâ and another to rise up a mob because something has an imperfection.Â
(I see lots of people on this stupid hellsite agree with these types of posts until someoneâs work upsets them specifically and then its mob time. )Â
Imagine starting a new class and the teacher tells you âweâre going to have a test to see where you areâ but then âif you get below a certain grade then not only will flunk out, but Iâll make sure everyone in the industry knows you flunked and knows not to hire you.â
Yeah youâre not going to do very good. And its not fair for a teacher to do that regardless of how the teacher feels about people not knowing some skill. Â and its not fair for this whole damn site to gang up on one person.Â
Let people learn, let people grow.  Quit wishing death and awful things on people (that âI hope you pee your pantsâ shit can just go fuck itself to hell, imo) when they donât get something right when they try.
Long post under readmore
[Part 1]About the trans Zexion post and that people unfollowed you because of that... I guess some people are just annoyed by all that. I see a bunch of posts like that "this and that character is trans" and people can headcanon what ever they want but I have the feeling it becomes the new yaoi thing. Back than it was new to make characters gay and every character had to have a yaoi partner and stuff and now thats not special anymore so they need something different. [tbc]
Anonymous said to khfriendlyreminders:April 20th 2017, 5:14:00 am ¡ 13 hours ago[Part 2] People back than didn't made the characters gay because they thought they really are but just because it was 'cute' and now it's the same with trans. As a trans person this actually really annoys me because it's like they're making a fetish out of it because they make literally any character trans just to have a trans character. It's not like they think it would really fit him or her. And the worst... the most people with these headcanons aren't even trans them self. [tbc]
Anonymous said to khfriendlyreminders:April 20th 2017, 5:14:00 am ¡ 13 hours ago[Part 3] Some yes, but probably the minority. That's like all the straight people who want's to determine when a gay person is offended by a statement that could be homophobic. Like once, a friend of mine said something like "That's so gay", and someone around said how homophobic she was because of that and she was like "Dude, I'm gay? That's not homophobic, at least not for me". And yea, all these people speaking for a group they're not part of are annoying as heck.
Um sorry forgive me but with the whole âtrans label doesnât suit themâ I thought one of the points the trans community was pushing that it doesnât matter your personality, likes, dislikes, what you look like, any of that, if you feel you are trans you are trans and no one should question it? You know trying to kill stereotypes and all that. So by that logic isnât it sort of off to say the trans label doesnât suit someone?Â
I do see the issue though however I feel itâs a tiny bit different from the yaoi thing. Cause with the yaoi thing in any given fic (cause fanfiction tends to be where this stuff is most apparent) normally every single solitary person was gay and being shipped with someone because fetish. Whereas I donât see that many fics where every single solitary person is trans. Not to mention back when yaoi was still somewhat novel I donât think the need for representation in media was pushed as much on the internet as it is now. So I think that when people declared a character trans I think they are just trying to be inclusive. Whether or not theyâre doing it for the right reasons Iâm not honestly sure. Thatâs just my thoughts though as someone who while isnât trans is apart of a group whoâs experiencing the same phenomenon (which group Iâm not gonna say cause Iâm not yet at a place where I feel comfortable telling just anybody for fear of them treating and viewing me differently). And it, in my experience, usually resulting in super forced characterizations...or at least I feel theyâre forced. Maybe not force but just in your face and over the top.Â
As for the people characterizing people as being apart of a group theyâre not apart of themselves....itâs kind of complicated. Cause on one hand it means more representation but on the other people who arenât apart of a certain group are more likely to misrepresent said group. Granted itâs not like people apart of that group canât misrepresent their own group itâs just a bit less likely. And itâs not like people outside the group canât do good characterizations for people from a group theyâre not apart itâs just without help they probably wonât do good characterizations for people of the group theyâre not apart of. To clarify using an example a person with good enough writing skills and care can write a person who is gay, they canât without help from an actual gay person write what itâs like to be gay. And then the question becomes since you canât write what itâs like to be gay should you even try. Personally I think yes cause they system needs more representation in general but I do see the other side of the argument.Â
ah okay thank you! I honestly didn't know. It felt like he was coded to be a white guy but i was rly not sure (I only know TT and not Young Justice tbh)
yeah hes definitely coded as a white guy. yj they just have the characters meet him pre-mutation so hes in-show officially white but in teen titans you have to go through and read the off-show comics. but even people who havent done that will fancast him with a white guy
its the same with raven and starfire unforuntately

Didn't Penny's friend (from Proud Family) finally get the one guy she chased after
oh shit yeah dijonay and sticky hahaha hOW could i forget
Whenever I remember that Foodfight! had a canonically LGBT character it makes me so mad. There are so many best selling movies and books that feature no representation of people like me, but the enormous failure that was Foodfight! was able to do it. There is no excuse at this point.Â
