I hate this trend of calling out and making people sorry if they write something you don’t approve of. Look. nobody learned by having a gun to their head. Well learned WELL anyway. Learning takes mistakes. Its one thing to point out “hey this could be better” and another to rise up a mob because something has an imperfection.
(I see lots of people on this stupid hellsite agree with these types of posts until someone’s work upsets them specifically and then its mob time. )
Imagine starting a new class and the teacher tells you “we’re going to have a test to see where you are” but then “if you get below a certain grade then not only will flunk out, but I’ll make sure everyone in the industry knows you flunked and knows not to hire you.”
Yeah you’re not going to do very good. And its not fair for a teacher to do that regardless of how the teacher feels about people not knowing some skill. and its not fair for this whole damn site to gang up on one person.
Let people learn, let people grow. Quit wishing death and awful things on people (that ‘I hope you pee your pants” shit can just go fuck itself to hell,imo) when they don’t get something right when they try.
