I thought of something. You know how in most RPGs, such as D&D and so on, whenever someone is a mix, it's almost always half human? I mean half-orc, half-elf, half-angel, half-demon, half-dragon and halflings in general. Would this mean that humans would pretty much fuck anything? Or would this mean pretty much anything would want to fuck a human?
Honestly, I’d say its the writers being biased and refusing to admit that maybe, just maybe, JUST SOMEHOW SOMEWHERE, the world JUST MIGHT NOT revolve around humans
hybrids of sapient races would be more interesting if you looked at combos that eshew human entirely; like dwarf/orcs, dragonblooded halflings, or a tiefling/aasimar. i already automatically lose some interest if its human or if something in the writing implies I’m supposed to care because they’re human, as if that was a moral qualifier or something
i get more invested in non human characters, more so like goblins or orcs and the like
as for WHY they’re human hybrids all the time, my guess is that EVERYONE is like that and ultra compatible with everything else, humans are just the only ones that get focused upon.
i mean, it’s not like humans in those settings have any qualities that make us intrinsically more desirable or attractive that all species don’t automatically possess
