“Okay, so I think crepes would make excellent picnic food... Lucy, why don’t we ever do picnic dates? I thought you loved me.” Ches winks at Lucy as she continues to go through her recipes compared to the groceries she had in her kitchen. “I know Ian is cuter than me, but damn, I’m pretty sure I’m supposed to be the favorite. Oh! We could make coq au vin, but I don’t have a good Burgundy currently. Fuck!” Maybe Oakley had some, but she wasn’t going to be calling her roommate for wine, not when Lucy was here to call her out on it. “What do you think?” She slides her binder of recipes over towards Lucy. “Anything sound good to you, babe?”

After last night, Zander’s mood about this trip had shifted to be even less than thrilled then he had been the first day. A stressed look had been permanently plastered on his face since he showed up for breakfast with Ches in tow this morning, even after his gift for her had actually gone over way better then he’d anticipated it to. “I don’t want to go on any rides today.” He answers, immediately without looking up to see who was interrupting his snack. Although when he glances up he automatically feels guilty. “Sorry, Lucy. I had a long night, can’t say I’m keen on trying new things today. Those teacup things look horrifying.” He gestures towards the ride that’s not far away, “what happens if it malfunctions?” Sure that wasn’t what he was stressing currently in the slightest, but he had no intentions on getting into it with anyone. Even Lucy.

“You actually wore them!” Balo squeals when she sees Lucy, darting through the crowd over to the girl and losing Colson in the process. “You look so cute! How are you enjoying the trip so far?” She throws her arms around her friend, pulling her into a tight hug. “I saw Cinderella! It was so cool! And did you know there’s a Winnie the Pooh ride? Kinda fitting, right! We have to go on it at some point, pretty pretty please!”

“Stop running next to the pool, you’ll slip and crack your skull open and Lucy doesn’t want to do the paperwork,” Zander calls over to one of the twelve-year-olds, shaking his head. The kid stops, much to his amazement. Although he gave it about five minutes until they started right back up again. “Sorry, I know - not my station.” He probably wasn’t supposed to be yelling at them at all, and for the most part, he really didn’t. He was more ‘yes Jack doesn’t mind if we do the mentos and coke experiment right in front of the math station’ with these kids for the most part, but, this felt like one of those times he should actually say something.

Zander still wasn’t quite sure how two out of the five real friends he had in his entire life had managed to have their secrets revealed by the circle, but bothered was the new understatement of the century. Kenzie had just started feeling better, and Lucy... well, he was lying if he said he actually knew what to do in this situation. He doesn’t say anything as he sets a coffee and a paper bag containing a single red velvet from the bakery down in front of her. If the order was wrong, well, it was Ches’s fault for telling him the wrong flavor of cupcake. He’s not sure what to say, honestly, she probably didn’t want him to say anything. If she acknowledged him, he was here. If she didn’t? Well, he was here, he was just here quietly waiting for her to look in the bag.

“How’s the sunburn? Has it gone away completely yet ‘cause if not, the sun and I are about to have some words.” Ches starts as she sits down next to Lucy, setting her dinner tray down on the table in front of them. “I was thinking that maybe we should arrange a girl night, because it feels like a billion years since we had a sleepover and I brought back a massive stack of horror movies so we could easily do a marathon. Maybe invite our roommates if they’d be into it?” They’d probably have to check to make sure invading one of their common rooms would be okay, but she wasn’t sure if it was something Kenzie or Callie would actually be into. “I need some Lucy-time, pretty sure I’m going to start wasting away if we don’t at least plan something and we can’t have that.”
