Another Storm
I had a dream
of a tornado hitting my home.
The house splintered into pieces,
choking the oxygen from the air—
pulling, tearing,
uprooting the life built around it.
I woke
before I knew
if I lived or died.
Or if the home
was something deeper
inside my mind.
I’ve had this dream before—
in different times,
different storms.
And now I wonder again:
am I in another one?
And will I make it
through the other side?
