Isol:I’m starting high school this fall, you got any advice?
Barbara:I got one, if you’re willing to listen to an anecdote.
Isol:Sure, tell it.
Barbara:My first week of high school, my school had these winding staircases that spiraled up. I was walking on the middle landing, and a guy who looked like the most cliched high school bully- I was a freshman, he was a senior- he took me up my the scruff of my shirt, lifted me against the wall, and just said “welcome to highschool, bitch.”
Barbara:So my advice is to find a freshman- but go to a different school and pretend to be a senior, maybe paint on a mustache or something- and give them the memory of a lifetime.
