Finally broke up with my boyfriend! I’m now happily and forever single. I told my brother if I ever want to date anyone ever again to slap me in the face because those feelings never last and I always end up breaking up.

do u think if i scream 'I WANT A RELATIONSHIP' enough times i might get one??? or do i have to, like, go through all the work of becoming emotionally available first?

As self-deprecating as this sounds, I feel as if I’ve had no lasting impact on any of my past girlfriends. I find myself doing or saying things that I’ve gotten from each of them, from as subtle as a word I’ve added to my vocabulary to actions I now do routinely that I didn’t do before I met them. Yet, I feel as though they have thoroughly removed me from their existence, not a single iota of myself having influenced their lives. It’s sad to think that perhaps I was the only one who cared
