So this may be controversial BUT I’m a lil bummed
So I know there is a lot of debate when it comes to naming dragons before putting them on the AH. Usually I have pretty good luck since most of my babs end up as fodder
HOWEVER. This time someone bought all four of my most recent hatchies and just. Exalted them without naming them. All to the same god. And I know that’s controversial and yes, if I wanted to avoid this I should have just named them but my GOODNESS. it does not take much to just randomize the name and go. I hate naming dragons before putting them on the AH in case someone wants to keep em’ and doesn’t want to buy a renaming scroll- especially if they got a huge wallet breaking project ahead

I like to think Hikaru lets his eldritch goop out every now again, especially when he feels big emotions like happiness. I'm really glad anime Yoshikaru are better at communicating, or at least got a chance to in the finale, because it means they're suffering a little less and closer than ever. The manga boys, meanwhile...
Hikaru really embodies the aromantic asexual experience. Not only has he expressed that he does not feel sexual desire on multiple occassions, the mangaka and his love confession in chapter 26 revealed that he also doesn't feel romantic love (as we know it, anyway).
Asexuality and aromanticism in particular are seen as alien, inhuman, monstrous, even. Many villains have been depicted as being evil because of their 'heartlessness' or lack of love, and characters that don't feel romantic love are often demonised and seen as less than human. Conversion therapy is also widely accepted as a 'treatment' for asexuality as it's viewed as something to be 'fixed'.
And just like real life arospec people, Hikaru constantly worries that his feelings and devotion will never be enough, that it will never be as 'good' as that of a normal (alloro) human's.
Anyone ever think about how one of the first ever sensations 'Hikaru' felt as a human is Yoshiki cupping/brushing the real Hikaru's face, which was now his? And how he fell in love with Yoshiki's touch, how he adores all the head pats and ruffles he gets from that moment?
How he also likely loves Papicco lollies because he always gets to share them with his dear Yoshiki? How he probably feels sentimental about them because he and Yoshiki had them when Yoshiki discovered and accepted him for the monster he is?
