‘Los Ángeles’ Rosalía. Producido y arreglado por Refree

Este es el primer disco de una jovencísima y talentosa cantaora de Barcelona. En su voz se mezcla la melaza infantil con la sabiduría del que conoce los secretos de su arte. Una técnica portentosa y un timbre bellísimo. Los arreglos instrumentales son una delicia porque los lleva a cabo un guitarrista, Refree, que no está ducho en las técnicas jondas. Pero que es un músico portentoso que ha sabido buscar la almendrilla de los cantes jondos, aunque no use los alzapúas y golpes en la tapa característicos del flamenco. Rompe así esta obra con muchos de los tópicos del flamenco, así que es un golpe de aire fresco, muy saludable. Líricas las cantiñas. Apabullante y épica la seguiriya de Caracol. Dulzura y verdad en la cabal del Pena. Minuciosa y solar la malagueña del Mellizo. Los tangos de Vallejo rotundos, heavys. Íntima y dolorida la malagueña de la Trini. Eléctricos y sombríos los tientos de Chacón. La guajira de Marchena irreconocible y, pese a ello, sensual y caribeña, popular y contemporánea. Los abandolaos feroces y desacompasados. La milonga de Escacena tétrica y acompasada, arpegiada. La saeta de Manuel Torre apocalíptica.

 Fíjate que ha sido necesaria una guitarra no flamenca y una voz juvenil de Barcelona para recuperar la austeridad y el sentido directo de los discos jondos de antaño. Y es que la sobreproducción sepulta hoy al más pintado en el flamenco. Cada corte es una revelación, pese a tratarse de estilos flamencos tradicionales, esto es, de nuestro tiempo. Lo jondo desembarca en el siglo XXI. El trabajo de la cantaora es impresionante. Y el del guitarrista y productor abrumador.

Rosalía es un descubrimiento. Un fogonazo, una iluminación. De producción austera, en ‘Los Ángeles’ no sobra ni una nota.  El disco de cante más demoledor, esto es conmovedor, en años. Flamenco del siglo XXI. Con esta obra al flamenco se le ha caído una tonelada de caspa, toda una costra que el tiempo había adherido en su superficie y que le impedía mostrar sus colores a lo vivo. Rojo, violeta, verde, amarillo, blanco, azul. Cuántos tópicos se han caído con ‘Los Ángeles’.

2. Why Was This So Important?

This wasn't just a break in play; it was a historic moment for European football. By stopping the game entirely, officials showed that player safety and respect are more important than the game itself. It showed that UEFA, the governing body, is serious about its anti-racism rules. "Racists are, above all, cowards... Nothing that happened here today was new in my life, but it's necessary to speak out," Vinícius Júnior shared on social media after the game.
