I have mentioned yesterday in my stories that I am about to move in another country which I did yesterday!🤗 Our big adventure now is starting in Austria during the winter season☃️ but I still have a few great hungarian wines🍷 for you to show. We are going to stay on the South part of Lake Balaton⛵ but now I would like to introduce a much bigger winery, the Kristinus Borbirtok @kristinus_wineestate I think you can find their wines 🍷much easier as an export. They have started at 2005 so it is a fairly new winery whit modern equipment and now having 101 hectares planted with 🍇vines and all hand picked. They are always try to get out of the best from a difficult vintages for all of their wines even if they are working with a dozen of grape varieties. As white grapes, there are Sauvignon blanc, Pinot Gris, Furmint, Muscat Lunel, Chardonnay (they say here grown the best of them from Hungary) and Irsai Olivér, Hungary's🇭🇺 national grape variety which I tasted a few years ago and loved it! As a red variety they have Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt. 🍇 On the photos you can see what I have tasted a few weeks ago, 2 Bordeaux blends. 🍷 Sas is a blend based on Merlot (61%) with Cabernet Sauvignon (35%) and Cabernet Franc (4%) which has spent 12 months in Hungarian 🇭🇺oak barrels. The other one called Euphoria with mainly Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Blaufränkisch! I loved that wine, the Blau gives this fruity🍒🍓 funkiness to the wine with herbs 🌿and soft tannins. The wine has been aged in barrique barrels and partly in amphora.
