So, I just hit 400 followers on my main @killjoy-karrot-kake which is NUTS, and I have been noticing a lot of ‘10 years on’ art improvement posts! So to celebrate the end of the decade as well as this milestone, I decided to see how much I had improved in my art since my very first art post (which was only in February of 2018, I haven’t actually been drawing that long haha).
Turns out my very first post on tumblr under YaToGoRi was this concept art of Yuya Sakaki from YuGiOh ARC-V for my fanfic Crystal Dragons. So that’s what I’ve redrawn today!
It’s insane to think of how far I’ve come since then and what I have learnt along the way, about lighting, shade and anatomy and so much more. My first digital art was only a year and 9 months ago, and I still have a long way to go, but it really does make you think about what you can achieve if you have the courage to do so!
