The blush that coloured her cheeks made him smile even wider and it deepened after he kissed her. He grinned, proud of his effect on her.He was about to launch her into yet another song when Luke interjected. The disdain on Keith's face was palpable."I'm sorry, Your Highness, but the guests of honour have arrived.""No explanation that they were already late? Inexcusable." He looked to the woman fluttering about in his arms and he grinned again. "You better keep that face just for me, Esme," he murmured, kissing her cheek again. "I must work, now. I will return for your hand again soon." His face sterned a moment. "No other dance partners!" While his jealousy was unfounded, he still felt extremely protective of the young woman he was releasing from his sturdy grasp. Okay so let's go with my oc for Edward serenity ^_^ sure you've read about her XD btw serenity is a bit wild xD)) Serenity was walking around the castle. She didn't seem as lively as she always did for the past few days. She also seemed a lot quiter and paler.
Prince Edward was tending to his roses when he saw Serenity walking on the grounds. He had been worried about her for the past few days as she became more withdrawn but every effort he made to find out what was wrong had been rebuffed so all he could do was worry and wait.
He decided to go join her in her stroll and see if she would finally open up.
"Serenity, please wait!" He called as he strode to her

Esme was just getting over her illness and was still pretty weak, so Keith had ordered her to stay in bed. While he was off on business, he was nearly shot, but he was alright. As soon as Esme got word of what happened, she ran outside and waited for Keith to come home.
The limo bearing Prince Keith was pulling up to the Manse when he realized Esme was standing outside. Before the limo had even come to a complete stop he had the door open and was trying to barrel his way out, only the quick thinking of the driver preventing a complete disaster.
Keith strode up to Esme and picked her up and carried her towards their room.
"What do you think you are doing? You are still weak and if you don't rest you won't get over this. I need you healthy and whole Esme"
His rapid pace ensured they reached the room quickly and he deposited her on the bed then turned to face Luke who had trailed behind them anxiously.
"Bring the doctor here, now." he barked out the order then turned to Esme, trying to tuck the covers around her. "Why would you do that?"
