After the events of crystalized, Nya is bored out of her mind. With nothing to do and no one to save, she doesn’t exactly know what to do with herself. So she somehow manages to find a way into another world with her yin, Jay and everyone else tags along just because.

However as a side effect of it, all of them(except Misako) are now, little kids. They woke up in the world of MHA, in the bodies of eight toddlers (all around 2 years old) with all of their memories from the other world still intact. When they woke up, as expected they freaked out about being little kids again. But then they realize, that they could be able to grow up all over again.

Morro realized that nobody in this world knew who he was or what he had done.

Nya and Kai realized that they didn’t have much of a childhood in their her world, but here, them, their lovers, and some of their closest friends could have a chance at being kids all over again.

Skylor didn’t have much of a life before meeting the ninja, and she knew it. So she was extremely excited to have a chance at being a kid.

Lloyd’s childhood was cut short by the tomorrow’s tea, and a lot of it was spent at Darkly’s anyway, now, not only did he now have a chance to grow up again with all of his friends but also with his mom. No way was he letting anything take that away from him.

Misako was excited about this, probably more than anyone else. She could now raise her son and all of his non-biological siblings including Skylor and Morro. Before the smith siblings found their parents, she was already thinking of adopting them.

Cole had a better childhood than most of his peers but he did still lose his mom and didn’t make up with his dad until he was 15. So he was still kinda excited about being able to be a kid again.

Jay had the best childhood out of everyone and he was the most freaked out about this. But soon enough he got excited about being able to go be a kid again.

Zane wasn’t sure where the whole “emotionless robot” stereotype came from. In his experience, flesh-and-blood humans were far better at shoving down, ignoring, or flat out masking emotions than himself.

Sure, Kai made a fool of himself when he met Skylor, but overall, he kept his emotions in check – at least long enough to save Ninjago. And Jay at least managed to be competent around Nya.

Sure, they had their moments. But none of them had ever come close to this.

A teeny tiny part of his brain was screaming at him to “get yourself together and stop staring”, but it wasn’t very loud – and it was totally drowned out by the feeling of his core thrumming in his chest.

The figure that had fallen through the rift with Cole was very different than the misty form he had once fought. He’d already softened towards Morro when he’d helped them remember Cole – Lloyd still rightfully stiffened at the sight, but even he kept his weapons away.

Zane just wasn’t prepared for – for this.

Morro was collapsed in his own pile next to Cole. Where sickly green and inky black had slashed across his face as a ghost, now it was plain and tan – he really could almost be blood related to Lloyd. His hair wasn’t the limp tangled strands he’d seen before; it was splayed out over his face and around his head, one vivid green streak spilling from his bangs into jet black locks.

Jay shoved past him to check on Cole with a worried cry; Zane stumbled and blinked before joining them on the ground.

“Returning from such a state is an intense trial,” he heard Sensei reassure Jay. “He will be fine, but they will both need rest.”

It took both Nya and Jay to carry Cole between them to the Bounty.
