 LOGLINE: The sheriff of colorful small town Oxblood, KY, finds her red-state outlook challenged when a young FBI agent of Middle Eastern descent is sent to help her solve a horrific crime. Together they form an uneasy alliance as the sheriff takes the agent behind the lace curtains of this Southern gothic community to meet an assortment of bizarre characters, each with a secret of their own.

 Cast (thus far)

Reba McEntire (Reba) will play Ruby Adair, the mercurial sheriff.

Saamer Usmani (Reign) will play Tag Gayad, a young FBI agent of Middle Eastern descent sent to help solve a horrific crime. Fayad is met with suspicion and hostility by the local populace. A brilliant man, he can be fairly snarky and disdainful to those he sees as intellectual inferiors

Jack Coleman (Heroes) will play Deke Adair, Ruby’s ruggedly handsome ex-husband who is now married to Ruby’s former best friend, Randa. Deke is a good and decent man who feels badly for the pain he has caused Ruby, but is also honest about the anger he feels towards her.

Amanda Detmer (Second Chance) will play Randa Post, sexy and cheap, she has a sweet quality that is tempered by her desperate need for love.

Ryan McPartlin (Chuck) will play Valentine French, the slick and handsome mayor of Oxblood.

W. Earl Brown (Deadwood) will play Deputy Joe Paul, who works under Ruby and shares immense tension with Fayad.

Emily Rose (Haven) will play Vonda Jean, County Coroner for the small town and former pageant runner-up.

Ben Esler (Hell on Wheels) repped by Industry Entertainment, will play Hollis, a shy, sweet and very odd guy taking care of his wheelchair-bound deaf grandmother who has no idea her grandson kidnaps women and keeps them prisoner in her attic.

Natalie Hall (Star-Crossed) plays Jennifer, a charming and very pretty party girl who enjoys meeting and hooking up with strange men and catches the eye of both a visiting FBI agent and a local psychopath.

Roslyn Ruff (Madam Secretary) will play Inez Winemiller, a jolly church lady who runs the local bed and breakfast.

Saidah Ekulona (Kevin Can Wait) will play Velma Winemiller, a church lady who runs the local bed and breakfast with her sister, Inez.
