Why is Wainfleet the tablet cat? Bc of that scene where he helped Quaritch with the hologram tablet

BANSHEE TAMING.

Apparently, to be full Na’vi they had to have a banshee. A rip off of a dragon. Lyle didn’t really say no because he just followed in his colonel’s footsteps, so here he was, smiling in all glee when Quaritch flew back over to them with his successfully tamed banshee after the whole squad thought that he had just plummeted to his death. After Quaritch had tamed his banshee next went Z-Dog, Mansk, and Walker. The others didn’t want to go yet so Lyle just decided to go. Spider watched as Lyle stepped forward into the swarm of banshees atop of this cliff, the banshees all screeched and squawked at him while a majority of them backed away or flew off into the clouds surrounding them. “Come on now, not all of you can be pussies ay?” Lyle muttered under his breath and chuckled lowly. One banshee didn’t cower away, the beast stepped forward and screeched at him only to tilt its head at him. “You’re mine fucker.” The Ikran roared in response and flapped its wings, and Lyle only interrupted that wing movement as being challenged. He wasn’t going to lose to a colorful, four-eyed, flying lizard. Instead of punching the damn thing or throwing a rock at it like how Walker did, he just ran towards it and threw himself onto it’s lower neck area where mounting it would be the proper riding spot.

When Lyle threw himself onto the Ikran the thing began to thrash and screech, flapping its wings. He used one hand to hold onto the Ikran’s bond while his other hand fumbled to try and grab his own Kuru, that was until the Ikran threw its backside to the ground and smushed Lyle against the rocks and it’s body. Lyle yelled words of profanity as the thing then did a death roll off the cliff’s edge, making Lyle yell even louder. The squad blinked and rushed to the edge of the cliff, staring down into the clouds but they found no trace of Lyle. That was until Lyle yelled, he sounded really close. Mansk glanced down the rocky wall and pointed to Lyle and his Ikran who were hanging off of the rocks, and it seemed like Lyle had succeeded to mend the bond. Quaritch and the squad laughed and cheered while Lyle chuckled, his anxiety going down as he patted the Ikran on the head and flew into the air with the creature. The Ikran squawked softly as Lyle dove and flew with the banshee, feeling the wind go pass them as the few others with tamed Ikrans took off into the air and flew under, over, or side by side with Lyle. Quaritch though stayed on the cliff and made sure the rest of their squad tamed their own Ikrans.
