I think there’s a difference between beating and spanking. Spanking by a parent is alright- but there’s a line that can’t be crossed.
I'd agree with that. I just don't like the idea of giving that parental right(?) to a stranger. Seems to me things can quickly escalate out of control if a teacher were okay'd for ruler slaps or spankings. And again that is 'ruling by fear' to me and I just don't see that as ever okay.
