Who am I without my social media? Have you ever thought of that? That constant question of who am I when I put my phone down, when I put my computer to sleep, when I'm offline. My wish for you is to have some time off. Get some time to step away from social media and reflect. Who are you without it? Your genuine self is the most important shard of your totality. Retrace and think. What on earth you are here for? Your life's purpose is your definition, your significance. Society has altered our reality. Cyberspace became the measurement of relevance, with every reaction, following and subscription we are dignified because we are constantly fed by the idea that this is our new normal, as if we only mattered base on how many approvals and engagement we had over a status upload or re-sharing of a funny video. I just want to clarify that social media is as relevant as the days are long. But we are also passing this life as social media age with us. So definitely we will somehow leave this world without social media. Soc-med will continue to emerge as a superpower. Do not let your Social Media Accounts control you. You are your own person. Use it wisely. Yes we post our flexes and tangible assets but at the end of the day another post will as easily push your feed as if it passes like nothing. Haven't you thought about the Idea that we curate so much, that filter upon filter upon filter we have lost the purpose. Instead we became motivated by the reaction and the approval of the people who does the same thing. We became polls, that never gets full, we are but fools of our own device. And little by little our life gets sad because we can never satisfy our hunger for attention. The generation of attention seekers and fame whores. So you see, social media is a projection of a highly curated version of you but it is not the absolute you. There is more to you than a filtered photo. ☝️😌 If we are part of a sentence? be the adjective you want to project in the world. Not the adjective you expect from the world. Likes, Reactions, Following, Comments, Subscriptions and Engagements are figures but it will not complete the void in your heart. That vacuum, is an emptiness that social media can not and will never fill. The intangible things such as peace of mind, a healthy atmosphere, an assurance of a healthy family and the value of Time. These are the Core Values of a well lived Human Life. You can do so much more without Social media, but you can also be empowered by it. Use it to inspire and encourage others to be a better person. And do not be defined by your timeline but rather define your timeline with purpose, because what you show is authentic and is not motivated by the collevtive reactions of a third party audience.
