I finished reading The Thran last week; here is my summary.
“That which is above is like to that which is below, and that which is below is like to that which is above.”

For my current playthrough of Teenage Exocolonist I’m playing a character loosely based on Rebbec, so I named the vacuum robot Gix, and uh… this happened 😳
Presenting:
Volume 2: St. Yawgmoth Infirmary
I am really really enjoying the rubberhose style. Hopefully not to the detriment of everything else I do...
So yeah! Yawgmoth's a real piece of work, just a nefarious creep big into unethical science and hitting on married women. He hasn't really ever been depicted in art until fairly recently. I have most definitely digged his wall of horror, Phyrexia alive, look in "Yawgmoth's Vile Offering". He's got a "handsome mad scientist with eyeliner and nails" look as of Modern Horizons, and that's what I've been trying to redo. I've drawn inspiration from the head shape and hair style of Duke Red from Metropolis... with again, a little Ghost of Stephen Foster with a bit of AKA Cartoons style deranged tongue sticky-outy-ness.
Rebbec and Glacian were definitely difficult in the sense of... I didn't plan on drawing them originally. Kept it mostly simple, trying to more or less translate their outfits to more cartoony look. Their main art cards are very ornate robes and what have you. Its been a matter of eliminating details mostly, I and definitely feel my more regular style has bled into these two. Rebbec defending Glacian waggling finger at Yawgmoth, Glacian looking only slightly lobotomized. I know in lore proper Glacian was properly mostly dead at the point Rebbec confronted ol' Yawgy. But...
I needed the excuse to have him around for this trio of proxies again, y'know just in case people ask. Though I've swapped out the light-bulb mana symbols from before for ... regular mana symbols. Mostly because I was thinking about drawing K'rrik or Tamiyo. K'rrik has a Phyrexian mana cost, with the little Phys on them... Do I slap a sticker on top of that? And what about Tamiyo? She has a hybrid Phyrexian mana cost... do I split the bulb in half? Two bulbs? Two Phy stickers? Oh! also the fact that Yawgmoth had mana symbols in his text box made me wonder "Do I toss in lightbulbs there?" I'd love to hear what y'all think about this last one. I wonder if the books are legible enough? And where'd the corpse go? Might tool around with these more.
Horizon: Zero Dawn series: Aloy and Sylens!
Continuing my series of HZD inspired proxies, I wanted to make some custom commanders for my W/G golems deck! Here are Rebbec, Architect of Ascension and Ich-Tekkik, Salvage Splicer as Aloy and Sylens!
