1000 Reasons to Love The Mandalorian (10/1000)
I’m probably going to talk about many different details about The Mandalorian sountrack, but I’ll start with one of my favourite parts, which is the moment when they fight with the mudhorn.
I know next to nothing about the theoretical aspect of music, so I can’t describe it in a pretty way, but if you watched the show you most likely know that this scene is really special. Not only is this extremely important for the relationship between Din and his baby (this is the real beginning of their clan!), but the score is absolutely fantastic...
It gives you this unspecified sense of danger and raw nature... And also pain, because damn, that was brutal ;-; What’s more, I would even say that this is the most distinctive part of the sountrack. The Mandalorian theme is permanently stuck in my head as well, but this moment is so different and weird, that I go back to it almost everyday.
(Also... when The Baby decided to help everything suddenly became so calm and slow... It almost gives you this sense of relief and safety after two minutes of being constantly uneasy. And the rising music showing the kid’s power changes into this wild flute that haunts Mando in half of his scenes :D. It;s perfect.)
If you haven’t heard it outside of the show, I really encourage you to listen to that part of the sountrack. I can’t recommend it enough.
