#really good chapter

And yeah, this got angstier than I had anticipated. Link's half was supposed to be the lighthearted portion of the fic. Oops. (I blame Ghirahim entirely.)

And yeah! Link and Impa bonding! He might cause her no end of stress, but they're friends. They do love each other.

On a happier note, next chapter Zelda flings herself into the void in order to locate her missing best friend with only a sword to help her. Granted the sword talks, but still. And we meet Old Impa!

(Related note, but if you look, Old Impa can be seen wearing Zelda's bracelet in the first conversation with her, which is beautiful continuity. It's my favorite detail.)

Also, seeing Ghirahim saying 'trans rights' in your tags took me out at the ankles. I had not expected that phrase from anyone except my best friend and that's because they're just kinda Like That. I ended up laughing out of surprise because you're right, I just didn't expect anyone to it. It was not the intended feeling for that line but I guess we're doing this now. Ghirahim is a terrifying demon lord trying to sacrifice you to bring back his master and cause the apocalypse, but he'll respect your pronouns as he does so.

their interactions in that chapter were honestly SO good - Link frustrating the hell out of Impa and Impa just... agreeing to what he says to get him to shut up (her bringing him the tiny bird made me CRY it was so cute)

can't wait for Zelda to yeet herself down into the surface!!! gonna be a fun experience (YESSS yes i love noticing that whenever i talk to her, it's a tiny detail but I adore it... she just... kept it all those years, in perfect condition..)
