So I saw a very old prompt of yours that led up to Timber being with his partner until they passed away of old age. I loved it so much but omg I almost cried
Now I don't know if he's immortal or anything. BUT iiiif he's not then I'd love a spin on it where they spend their last days together, or, somehow his partner gains immortality as well while not originally having it.
he deserves so many good things
Sure! I like this question. Thank you so much! <3
Well, funnily, as long as his forest is still around, he would still be around. If the last tree is still standing, so would he. He is not a being without his forest, and his forest is nothing without him.
If he dies, so does his forest, if his forest dies, so does he.
They tried to kill him when they set his forest on fire, but it just lit the anger that he held inside himself for so long. I mean, he could die, but it would take a lot of damage and he would probably cause the death to happen to himself, tbh.
If he forces his body too far, it'll start to breakdown.
Now! Let's get onto the ask. There is a thing that Timber could do, that all of my skeletons could do, called a soul bond.
If he wants to, and his datemate accepts, he could use his magic to seal their souls together to form an unbreakable bond.
It would shorten his own life but make his datemate's much longer to fit his. And, if one died, the other would as well. It's something that every monster can do, but it's normally treated as the strongest bond a monster can do with someone. It's also something that you can't go back on.

If Reader suggested that they do a soul bond, he would get way too many thoughts at once, and he would have to sit down to think about his answer. They wanted to do something like that with him? Even though they knew what it would do? He would ask them a few times to make sure that they were sure, then quickly agree.
He wants to have them with him for as long as he can, and he doesn’t want to see them grow old. He’s seen many people over the years—young, old, and middle—and they’re all the same. They die. But, at least with some of his soul, you wouldn’t! You would age so much slower, and then he could age with you. Together, they would be together until the end.
And that’s all he’s ever wanted.
His forest has been alive the longest out of many, and it’s hurting… He knows that it’s hurting, because so is he. His bones are old, they’re tired, and they’re aching, but with the happiness running through his soul as he held his datemate, flowers slowly forced their way out of the blackened earth, forming around them like a ring.
“Is it that hard to believe that I love you?” with Timber?
This sorta feels like it's from a longer fic but oops lol
“Is it that hard to believe that I love you?”
It was the question that broke Timber. It broke him, broke his heart, broke his mind. Just BROKE him. He didn’t know how to respond to Y/n, he didn’t know what to say. They were a human that had been coming to leave him offerings.
They started when they were so young, and now they were older, and… Timber didn’t know how to feel about them.
They were human; he hated humans, yet he didn’t hate them. He didn’t dislike them at all…
“Yes,” He responded, looking down at the small human. He could crush them if he wanted to. Take them into his hands, squeeze them until they pop. It would be so easy.
Too easy.
“It is b…because I d-don’t… deserve it” he rests his hands against his chest. “Y…ou’re- you’re young. You should be with… y..your own kind” he was able to get out. He didn’t want them to regret staying with him, they loved him and he feared that he loved them too. “I’m… not good for you” He shakes his head, sadly.
Y/n sighs out slowly and walks over, taking his hands into their own. “Timber… you’ve been through so much. I want to make it a bit easier on you by being here. I love you, and there’s nothing you can do that would stop me from loving you” They move their hands up to their mouth, pressing a kiss against his knuckles. They didn’t seem to care much about the way that his fingers were so sharp; he knew that if he wanted to he could hurt them. He could kill them.
He knew that he could.
He has many times before to many humans in the past.
“You would never b…be able t-to tell anyone,” he says to them, slowly holding their hands in his own. They smile at him, nodding. They seemed to already know. He looks down at them, silent, then gets a small smile and he raises their hands, resting them against his forehead. He had to lean down quite a bit to do this. “Thank you…” he mumbles.
Walking into these woods would be a death sentence for anyone but you. People go in, and they go missing.
Never to be seen again.
If they are, they have terrifyingly stories to share.
You have many that you keep to yourself. Why would you share your stories with the townspeople that hurt him all those years ago?
Walking into the woods; you felt the all familiar stare, and even if you knew who it was, you still felt nervous.
Staring feels weird!
It was snowing so you were cold, but not dressed for the weather, you knew why.
Finally you got farther in and vines curl around you, bringing you deeper into the forest.
You saw him.
He was just sitting in the grass, the only place in here where it grows... Trees around him.
If you didn't know better, you'd assume he was a strange statue. "Hey Timber, I'm here" you say, with a small laugh. You knew that he knew.
He brings you close, the vines letting you go and he nuzzles you, purring happily.
The closeness let you feel how hot he was, like a fire...
You cuddle into him, starting to rub your hand over his chest, "sorry I'm a bit late" you start, "I needed to take a shower and everything"
He nods, mostly to show he heard you and he nuzzles into your hair. He always held you like you weighed nothing to him and honestly, you most likely didn't.
While you sat and let him nuzzle and check you out, you noticed something above your head "did you grow that?" You ask him.
He looks up at the plant, letting out a huh sound then nods. Guess he did! He nods again looking back at you.
You smile and place your hands on his cheeks, pulling him forward and you press your lips against his teeth in a kiss.
His body tenses, his bones locking but he slowly relaxes and returns the kiss, purring happily. It was a deep and cracky sound but still there.
You had a feeling you'd see that plant more often...
I think he'd be so surprised going to attack a human and then just... not being able to
I thought that this one turned out really fun!
I hope you like it :)
The day that Timber met them, it was cold. There was snow covering the ground, and wind was howling like a beast on the hunt.
He never liked it when it got too cold like this. It made him feel... Strange. Tired, sleepy, And just not all the way there.
Because of how hot he was, the snow melted around him, he couldn't even touch it if he wanted to!
He had been sleeping in his little area when suddenly he felt it. Their steps on the ground close to where he was. He lifts his head, looking around, frowning.
How did they get so close? He growls softly under his breath. A deep and rumbly sound.
Most likely the snows fault.
With that thought, he stood up and started to walk. Time to waste time and find the stupid human that was dumb enough to come into his forest while it was snowing this hard.
It didn't take him long to find them, the tracks they left lead him right to them... They were human, as expected, and their soul looked weak. They would die anyway, his way would be faster. Kinder...
He flexes his fingers, staring as they walked. Their skin, clothing, and hair were all covered by snow. They looked to be shaking. They looked... Pretty.
Something about them; but he couldn't place his finger on it, so he shakes his head to get his mind off it. Instead, he moved forward.
They turned their head hearing his footsteps, their eyes were wide, and he swipes his claws.
A quick and painless death. Blood staining the snow red...
But it didn't.
His hand stops moving the second he was about to hit them. His breath was coming out in harsh puffs, clouds of hot air hitting them but they were frozen.
He was too.
Damn it! What the hell? He needed to move. He could kill them, kill them easily! They were just a human. Humans hurt EVERYTHING so why did he stop?
He flexes his fingers again, his eye shine shooting around as he looked at them.
They slowly took a step back, holding their arms around themselves "I'm... Ah... H...Hello?" Their voice was full of fear. The fear annoyed him. He wasn't bad. He knew he wasn't he just... He was tired of being hurt.
Timber lets out a shaky breath, turning his head down. Why couldn't he do this? He should be able to hurt them but he can't.
Within the next few seconds the human backed up, and started to run away the best that they could. They would fall, lose their balance. Hard to run through such thick snow. He watched as they ran.
They would die out here.
Ugh...
He sighs at the thought and starts to follow them. The snow around him melted with each step, the water soaking into the ground. It was weird but, you know, maybe this would be good.
It took him a little while to find them again, not because he couldn't but more he was nervous about the idea of finding them.
What was this going to cause?
Finally, after a while, he found them fallen in the snow. It was piled around them...
When he touched them, they felt so cold but their skin so soft. It was... Nice.
He scoops them up in his big long arms, holding them against himself. They lent against him, his warmth most likely nice. Their eyes didn't open.
Good, for now, at least.
That was how he met them, and how they became part of his forest. After that day, he nursed them back to health, and they hold him about the soulmate thing when they woke up.
He made them a house to sleep and stay in, a place just for the two of them, and when their soul needs to leave, he'd be there, holding their hand.

Can I give Timber a gift? I have a potted plant here for him if he wants it. (I'm not very good at keeping certain kinds of plants alive so it's probably better off in his care anyway)
The second that the plant entered his forest, his socket snapped open, his pupil going into a sharp slit. What was that? It felt so young... he lifts his head, looking towards where he could feel the energy and got up, following it.
He stopped when he saw it was his datemate holding the plant. It was in a pot... what were they doing? They knew that if anything... it was in a pot, it would be fine, right? It had such a nice energy...
He remembered what his forest was like before they burned it. Plants spread out everywhere, it was beautiful. Now look at it...
He shakes his head to get his mind off that and slowly walks out towards them. They look over at him, and smile “Timber! Hey, I got you a gift” They hold out the plant, “I can't really handle these all that well, I thought maybe you'd like it”
Timber looks at them, then down at the plant and he slowly reaches out, tracing his claw along one of the leaves.
Soft...
His magic flared lightly in his socket, and for the first time in a while... his soul felt almost good. It wasn't hurting.
If even just for a second.
“Th-a...nk you” he pulls his datemate into a hug, scooping them off the ground in one of his arms, and takes the plant into the other and starts to walk, studying the plant. He was going to do his best to keep this one alive.
what if Timber met a dryad who was attached to one of the trees in his forest? would he try to befriend them or just kinda leave them alone?
I liked this :)
Well he most likely would meet you before his forest got all messed up! The first time he met you, it was early on, much longer before he met Frisk. At first, he would have just watched, then got inetrested, and went to talk to you.
You were one of his best friends! He loved to be able to spend time with you, and making jokes and such. But then, his forest burned down and he grieved.
Because of the fire, your tree got really messed up. It was the one thing that he tried to protect, and he couldn't even do that. The anger and pain he was going through was what made him snap and start to kill the humans that were trying to hurt him.
A lot of blood watered his plants that day.
And after that, he would try his best to use any amount of magic he had left to bring your tree back. It didn't work for a long time.
Finally, he was able to make it come back though! And then you did, and it was the happiest he's been in so long.
He protects you and your tree. There are vines all curled around it, and thorns that look like barbed wire. It moves whenever you come out to make it safe for you.
You are the last good thing he has anymore. He isn't going to let anyone close enough to hurt you, and if they do? He would end them.
"The next time they touch you, I'll cut their wretched limbs off." Yandere prompt with Timber? 👀
Of course! Here you go :D I had a lot of fun with this one!
Timber loved his datemate.
They were the only one that really made him feel safe, and he wished that he could do so much for them, yet all he could do, was keep them safe. For a long time, he thought about taking them away from this town, keeping them in his forest with him, but he knew that he couldn't do that.
At least, not yet.
Timber knew that humans were soft creatures, they needed quite a bit to stay alive, so he wouldn't force them to live in a place where they wouldn't be really happy. He just made them promise that they would never leave him, and that was enough for him.
He told them that if they ever left him, he would come for them, and they didn't want that. Either he could get hurt, and killed, or other people could be. Did they want to be the cause of all that trouble? No? Then just stay with him, no matter what.
So, today, when Timber was laying in his grass, asleep he suddenly heard a sound. It was footsteps, and he heard it through his plants, he could feel them against the ground… he already knew who it was but Y/n's steps were different, they were heavier and faster.
That worried him…
Timber stretches out, yawning and digging his finger tips into the ground, honestly, sorta like how a cat would do. He pushes himself to get up, starting to walk through the trees, his eyeshine scanning around. This was the right way, his datemate's steps were getting closer… why did he feel so on edge?
And then he saw them… well; he smelled them before he saw them. The smell of blood, strong, and they run around the corner holding their arm. Blood was dripping from behind their fingers, and they look at him with big eyes "Timber!" they run into him, hiding their face into the cloth of his shirt, letting out the weakest of whimpers.
They sounded so scared…
"Y/n?" He mumbles, "W…W-What happened?" he reaches up, cupping their cheeks in his large hands, making them look at him "Who hu…rt you?"
"The… The villagers, t-they said that I was causing their crops to die because I kept coming to the forest. I don't know what they're talking about, Timber" They had tears falling from their eyes. Rolling down their cheeks… they were so beautiful.
He frowns, and gently wipes away the tears, making sure to be careful to not cut them on accident, and nuzzles his skull against their cheek. He could feel the coolness of their tears against his bones, "Not… your fa..fault Y/n" he breathes out slowly, "The next time t…t-they tou…ch you, I'll cut their wretched limbs off." he growled the last few words, then scoops them up in his arms, and carries them off to his little safe space.
He wrapped up their wound, putting some plants on it that would help with the healing. He was so angry. The humans, the villagers, thought that they could just… ugh! When he saw his datemate fall asleep, he looks up to the tallest tree, it still had fruits and plants growing on it… the last one like that. He scoops them up, making sure to be careful and uses vines to move them up to the large hole, placing them inside of it then sits down.
He realized today… the rest of the humans, they were too dangerous for someone as sweet and caring as Y/n. They would only get hurt out there, he was saving them.
He's going to keep them here, and he'll kill anyone that tries to come into his forest to get them… well… he would have done that anyway but now he had a really good reason for it.
