Imagine Trying To Help Dan With His Videos But He’s Never Able to Concentrate or Get Any Work Done When You’re Around

Surprise! - Dan Howell Looking down at your day planner you were hit with what felt a large wave of emotion. For the first time in the two years, you were with Dan, you would be separated from each other. He was going on tour in America, and to not “let you lose any more clients” he had decided to leave you in the UK. It felt weird, you had been at every show, book signing, and had either been at or conducted the photo shoots. So many times he claimed that you were his good luck charm, but sometimes the charm needs to stay behind. You looked up at the clock, 11:45 pm. You knew if you didn’t head to bed soon that you wouldn’t sleep at all. Having to get up at 2:00 am so you could see the boys off, was going to be hard if you hadn’t slept. Getting up from the table you cleaned up what remained from dinner, just a few plates that you loaded into the dishwasher. Starting it you walked out of the kitchen, entering Dan’s room. Removing your hoodie, you had on a tour tank-top and a pair of leggings. Sliding into the bed you were meet with the warm embrace of Dan’s arm.

The alarm went off waking you up, hitting the off button you looked at the time, 1:30 am. Pushing the covers off of you and waking Dan up a bit. “Mmrph” was all you could get for a response.

“Good morning to you too darling.” You sarcastically say standing up and walking into the kitchen making sure to put your arms out so the glass door wouldn’t attack you, or as everyone likes to say “Morning Glass”. Reaching up into the cupboard, you take down a cup, filling it with your best friend, coffee. Hearing movement around the apartment, you weren’t too sure if it was Dan, Phil or Syler, Phil’s girlfriend who you had become good friends with thanks to the tight spacing of the apartment. You could hear the sound of someone turn on the TV in the living room, so you knew Phil was up and moving. Picking up the coffee mug you had just filled, you walk out to the living room to sit on the end of the couch putting your feet up along with Phil. As if on cue, right as you were sitting down on the couch, a familiar smack and groan of someone hitting the glass door. Looking over at Phil you both giggled wondering who was the victim this morning, you could still hear the groaning and cursing coming from the kitchen as Syler bounced into the room, strangely wide awake. Which left only one other person in the apartment to be getting hit in the head.

“Good Morning Syler,” You smile your voice still sounding tired.

“Morning,” She smiles back sitting on the footrest across from Phil.

“Motherfuckin’ glass door!” Dan screaming as the sound of the door echoed in the whole apartment. You look through the door, seeing as you didn’t shut it behind you to see if Dan was actually okay. Taking a drink of your coffee you figure he’s okay.

“Dan, that’s a quarter in the (Y/N)’s swear jar,” Syler jokingly stated as he walked in. Dressed in black pants and his signature black tee with a white ring in the middle, he smirked at you, getting closer. He leaned down kissing you, pulling back he flipped off Phil and Syler.

“Never!” He smiled and ran out of the room, “But, why me? I didn’t do anything, Dan?” Phil’s voice echoed in the apartment as he yelled to Dan.

“You happened to be next to her, wasn’t directed towards you.” Dan;s voice came back, as you set your coffee down on the end table you can see him as he runs back in the door. This time looking like it could have actually done some damage you get up and walk to him. Smirking, he turns around to tickle you, causing you to run away from him. Finally, he catches up to you, falling onto the couch as you both giggle.

“Now it’s double, you maybe your bed now pay up,” you giggle smiling at him

“(Y/N), you do realize we don’t even have a jar for it. You have all the jars full of coins, water, paint, paper, and all sorts of things. But, not a swear jar.” He giggles pushing your (H/C) behind your head and kissing you.

“Okay you two love birds, we actually have to get going so Dan you need to go pack,” Phil said standing up shaking his head. Dan nodded in response, picking you up and carrying you to his room. Once in his room, he sets you down on the bed and proceeds to set up his cameras.

“Dan, are you sure you have the time for this?” You look at your alarm clock, he turns and looks into you (E/C) eyes smiling.

“If someone hadn’t wasted time this morning I would have had time for something else,” He winks, “But, a video will have to do so.”

“Fine, you go film and I’ll pack your bags deal?” He nods and leaves the room heading up to the office. Phil walks in shortly after, to talk to Dan.

“Hey, Da- where’s Dan?”

“He went upstairs to make a video before he leaves, so I’m packing his bags. Did you need something packed with or just want to talk to him?”

“Just wanted to make sure that someone was packing his stuff if he wasn’t.” Phil smiled, walking back out and shutting the door. After what felt like hours Dan returned with a USB in hand, wanting to question it but knowing there was no time you just smiled at him. Finishing up packing you walked over to him as he sat on the bed editing with headphones. Almost as if he was hiding something he slammed his computer shut when he saw you coming over.

“Dan, it’s time to head out.” You smile at him and lean down kissing him.

“Phil, just texted me that the cab is here so…” Dan stood up and hugged you holding your hand he pulled back. “I’m the luckiest man alive and I hope you know that when I say I love you I mean it.” He kisses your hand. Turning around and pulling away you pick up his bags taking them out to the landing.

“I do Howell, I do” You turn to look at him before exiting the room. Walking out you can hear Syler and Phil saying goodbye. As you hit the landing you see Phil heading for the door, Dan walks past you taking the bags. He then sets them down quickly.

“Almost forgot, wait until I text but when I do, watch this okay?” He smiles and hands you a flash drive, kissing my lips he turns and heads out the door. About an hour later your phone goes off ‘go watch the USB’

Turning on your computer, you plugged in the USB. Opening the folder the only file says ‘(Y/N), Watch this please.’ Clicking on the file, a video pops up and starts to play.

“(Y/N), No matter how many miles away we are, I will always love you. And as I speak you are currently downstairs in my room packing my stuff for my tour. How you deal with me and my procrastination. I will never understand, you probably think that I’m recording a video for the fans, but this is for you. You can post it on your channel if you please or you can keep it private. But, over the course of the past two years, you have to be blessed with an extremely cute accent from living here and we have shared so many pictures and have so many videos provided by our friends or one of us filming the other being silly that I have decided to put them all together and with our further ado I present to you the last two years of (Your Ship name). I love you baby, and I’ll call you as soon as I land in America, I love you. See you in a few months. “ After his voice fades you begin to get tears in your eyes as photos and videos from when you first met him to two weeks ago when he proposed and then some, began to show in front of you face. Inside you know this was the best surprise he could have given you.
