MID YEAR BOOK FREAK OUT TAG 2026
It’s the first day of July and it’s time to check in on those reading goals! As always I have multiple answers for everything so here goes:

3. Best book you’ve read so far this year
The Love of My Afterlife by Kirsty Greenwood is my favorite book I've read so far! I loved the feeling I had while reading this one, I was laughing out loud at the story and had such a great time!
4. Best sequel you’ve read so far this year
The only series I've read in their entirety this year are the Broken Blades trilogy by Mai Corland and Stalking Jack the Ripper series by Kerri Maniscalco and the first book was my favorite in both the series so no favorite sequel lol

An update on my year's reading goals:
Try to get more 5 star reads than last year (excluding rereads): my 5 star count for the first 6 months is 14 which is better than last year but not by a lot
Try to bring my kindle tbr to <120: kindle tbr is currently at 130 which I am trying my best to control but new releases are taking over my life lol
Try to bring physical tbr to <5: physical tbr is currently at 15 which is more in control than the kindle tbr since I have dialed back on buying books
15. What books do you need to read by the end of the year?
No specific books but bring my kindle TBR to <120 and physical TBR to <5 are my main goals.
