Hello lovelies this is one of the hobbies I use to help me to concentrate and focus. This particular language im learning is German. I'm also refreshing my Spanish skills and hope to study Hindi as Hindi is part of the Romani Gypsy language along with Sanskrit and other words common to the Romani language. Many sources seem to point to India being our original home country until we left for Europe and beyond. My ancestry DNA test also confirms this to be the case according to the ancestry technology. But for now I'm pleased I've got past this level again as I did quite well reaching I think diamond level then I had to stop as my health needs came priority.. But the blood tests revealed I have no B12 iron or vitamin deficiency. But my thyroid disease is active and I've had to increase my dosage again. This has triggered the Reactive Hypoglycemia attacks and woke up with a 2.1mmol reading. Staggered to the kitchen via the bathroom with the light of my phone as its still dark at 5.30am in the south east of England and grabbed some berries ate them with some water back to bed to wait for 15 mins to test the blood to ensure it reaches at least 5mmols. It reached 4.9! But I was too tired to quibble over point 1 of a millimole.. Hello, my lovelies for anyone new welcome! Like anyone with Diabetic or blood glucose problems like Reactive Hypoglycemia measuring the blood glucose levels is usually carried out with a glucose meter like the one in the photo. It cost me 10.99£ for the basic kit with the sample amount of lancets and test strips including a case with a USB adapter from Amazon UK. Although the specialist said the GP should prescribe a meter Mr Vegan didn't want to wait as I was too unwell at the time & in the middle of lockdown/shielding. Reactive Hypoglycaemia (RH) is the same condition just with a different spelling. Postprandial Syndrome, Non-Diabetic Reactive Hypoglycemia is other terms used for the same condition. Symptoms of RH are wide-ranging from dizziness shaking heart palpitations/heart racing & breathing difficulties, brain fog, confusion, fatigue/tiredness. Nausea and vomiting are other symptoms. However, the list of symptoms is by no means exhaustive and you don't have to experience all of the symptoms to have RH. Hyperglycemic & Hypoglycemic symptoms are typical of RH. Hello my lovelies currently 30°C in our den the doors and window is open its shaded enough for us to be able to have our cannabis medicine. I also have to be mindful of the Fentanyl patch so I can't lay out as I used to enjoy as I haven't got something high enough for me to lay on many of the sunbeds/loungers are close to the ground. I have trouble getting down on those types of seating. Hello lovelies I've been somewhat missing in action for the last few weeks or more it seems. I have been officially diagnosed as having Reactive Hypoglycemia we have yet to find out why. But my consultant is lovely and seems determined to find out why I have this. My blood sugar levels are stabilising & I'm not having very severe RH events in the past few weeks. Luckily it hasn't dropped below 3.3mmols while yes that's low & classed as a Hypoglycemic event or Hypo for short. I've had results that were much lower than 3.3 mmols. In the UK blood glucose is below 4mmols it is classed as Hypoglycemia.To be able to drive in the UK your blood glocose should be over 5mmols & if you have a Hypo you shouldn't drive until after 45mins of a normal result.This information is easily found via DVLA NHS & other related information websites including diabetes websites. I have to prick my fingers at least 7 times daily and usually more if my blood sugar levels spikes or crashes (with RH it does both causing Hyperglycemic & hypoglycemic symptoms) this can happen usually within three hours postprandial (after eating) depending on the trigger for me if I've accidentally consumed a trigger food I have a severe reaction to like gluten then I feel the effects minutes after I've eaten this. This is the kit I take everywhere. I use a spare tub to keep the additional lancets sterile & easy to access. The tub is Milton friendly as I sterilise the tub along with my cleaning equipment such as brushes...I can't take Metaformin due to my medical history & wouldn't be exactly keen on taking them as a side effect of Metaformin can be having a Hypo I don't want to take something that would've gave me more hypoglycemic events. However I've found cannabis has helped stop my blood glucose spiking higher sometimes bringing a RH event to a stop by stopping my blood glucose spiking too high and dropping too much too quickly. I've tested my blood before & after vaping cannabis for pain. I usually eat something before I vape. For anyone who likes a chocolate dessert may want to try these... Dairy free and plant based something I'd thought I'd get for Mr Vegan. I don't usually go for chocolate type dessert as I find them too sweet and rich for my palate. But I can eat a chocolate bar. Or like I don't like coffee cake or coffee infused sweets and confectionaries. But I can drink a cup of coffee. Anyhoo one way to get your intake of calcium and protein and it doesn't seem to trigger a Reactive Hypoglycemic event.. Hello lovelies sorry for the delay in posting. I've been managing to prevent spikes which is really great.With the type of RH - Reactive Hypoglycemia I have, my cells are having trouble accepting glucose into the cells. So when the glucose can't get into the blood it stays in the bloodstream. This causes the blood glucose also known as blood sugar to spike and this causes hyperglycemic symptoms. Then the RH attack occurs when the spike drops faster than it should. This makes the blood glucose levels drop down too low causing adverse symptoms such as Hypoglycemia symptoms. This book is a review in progress but the information contain herein is very user friendly. Insulin Resistance is a consequence of too much fat in the body. Somehow despite my being vegan never taking sugar in drinks or cereals and being very slender & petite doesn't mean you can't improve your health ❤️ feeling fairly motivated & looking forward to finishing the book..thanks for the awesome information Dr's Cyrus & Robby its helping me have less spikes & Hypos 🍏🙏😎Having my cannabis meds for the night as the pain is too you know.. Hi ya my lovelies lol I thought I'd share this screenshot of a conversion website I found handy when measuring ground nuts and seeds. Due to my poor eyesight I'd not seen until selecting the photo that it was for Sugar! Whole sugar from whole fruit is fine for me but artificial and processed sugar in foods trigger a severe immune response.. Something that I'm not prepared to damage my body for.. I was surprised when given my diagnosis as I've not added sugar to drinks or to sweeten food since I was about 7 when I gave up sugar for lent in junior school. I took it seriously and when I did try sugar again I hated it! I tried on cereal it tasted the same awful and the texture of sand.. Anyhoo I'm taking advantage of the new year and endeavouring to keep a food diary to track my reactions to food..
