S U M M A R Y :
Ivy Blue believes she’s born to die. Her parents toyed with fate, bringing her into the world painted in blood not her own. But now they were dead, their rebel leader nowhere to be found, and all answers she pretended not to wish for left unanswered.
So, she shoulders her burden. Ivy spends her time memorizing incantations and potions at Remington Academy for the Gifted with the royal pain in the ass vampire Chandler. The war she’d been meant to start was over.

Ivy Blue — the chaos.
dark, dark, dark. a shadow after all. Ivy doesn’t want to die. not really. but she’s what happens when witches bleed. her seventeen years feel like a thousand and one, and she feels powerless despite her immense power. still, Ivy Blue is both more than this and less than what they want from her.
Chandler Harding — the heir.
vampire-born, magic made. he never thought much of death, even if death thought of him. but Chandler had merely one life—eternal or not—that he could give for Ivy. and he’d do it in a heartbeat.
Violet Mason — the light.
chubby cheeks, rolled sleeves, a flower crushed. she’s only ever been sure of herself, and yet all Violet wanted was to be needed. Remington Academy is her chance. she doesn’t bother worrying that it might also be her last.
Henry Granger — the imposter.
descendant, defected, disappointed. there was something missing from Henry, and it seems everyone could see it. he’s grasping for his legacy but it’s all just smoke from the fire he can’t seem to keep lit. but the only currency in Remington is magic and he’s fresh out.
