They were stubborn. Both of them were. They were stubborn and fiercely loyal to their causes and beliefs. Grim was a Jedi. She was always going to be a Jedi. Rani was an Inquisitor. She was always going to be an Inquisitor.

The two of them were on opposing sides of a raging war. Yet they loved each other. They loved each other deeply. Though not enough to entirely betray their beliefs. They would not betray each other, and they would not betray the side they remained loyal to.

Grim marched over to her girlfriend, tears shimmering in her eyes. "How dare you?" she asked.

 Rani took off her helmet and looked Grim in the eyes, "I am an Inquisitor. It's my job to kill Jedi. Did you forget how we met, dear?"

 Grim crossed her arms and glared up at her. "That Jedi was my friend- and not just that you wiped out an entire rebel squad that the Jedi led! How could you?"

 "Why do you still remain part of the Rebellion? You know the Empire is going to win."

 "Why don't you leave the Empire?! Why do you have to kill my friends!"

 "Your friends are traitors!" Rani snapped.

 "And I'm a traitor too!" Grim snapped back. "A traitor and a Jedi, so why don't you do your job and kill me!"

 Rani went silent, so did she. They realized they'd never work. Fighting a war on opposite sides, one's life devoted to dark, the other to light. They were too stubborn to join the other's side, though they had both tried.

 "It's over," Grim said, her voice shaking.

 "Grim," Rani started, her tough exterior cracking for just a moment.

 "No," she replied, cutting her off. "Goodbye, Third Sister."

Hope I didn't butcher Rani's character. This just screamed Ranim breakup to me and I couldn't help myself.
