Tagged by @raisinghellonstarbug Thank you so much for tagging me! I appreciate it. I accidentally deleted the Ask-- I’m so sorry about that! And apologies for the delay too since you sent this a few months ago. I still wanted to do this, and had the instructions saved (above). Especially these days, doing this is the best idea. Focus on the positive 💜💜💜
1) Soft Sastiel -- like in 10x17, Cas’s soft look of concern as he and Sam prepare to talk to Bobby. Like Cas knows how emotional it will be for Sam to talk to Bobby again a few years after his death.
Then there’s 14x01 when they’re honest with one another about how they’re doing at the end of the episode. 15x07 when Cas asks if Sam is okay while Cas is probing Sam’s gunshot wound. Of course, there’s 9x11; but back an episode, Cas checking on how Sam’s feeling after Sam kicks Gadreel out. I shall pause there before this gets too long. ;)
2) Roadhouse Rough by @posingasme -- I keep meaning to rec this story. I love the Team Free Will 2.0 dynamic in this fic. The story has Sam as a retired hunter (forced to unfortunately), and it’s Sastiel too, which is really nice. I was so sad for Sam, but I appreciated the strong family vibe among Sam, Dean, Cas and Jack.
Don’t want to spoil it even if the fic was published back in 2018. To keep spoilers at a minimum, I was satisfied with the ending. After reading the story, I was thinking that I just have to rec it. Should have done this sooner, but better late than never, right?
This is the future fic for SPN that I would be okay with if it happened on the show (though I’d be sad about Sam’s predicament, but it does fit in line with what the show likes to do... make characters suffer).
3) The friends I made on Tumblr and Discord. I’m grateful for being involved in the Sastiel part of SPN fandom.
4) Finishing a fic that I’ve been working on for months. I just published two fics in the last few days, so that’s definitely on my mind. Need a mini-break from writing. Although I’m looking forward to working on the remaining fics I still need to finish. Having two fics off my plate is a big relief, so cheers for that. *grins*
5) MacRiley -- thanks to my newer interest, the TV show, MacGyver (2016 reboot); I have a shiny and new ship to get heart eyes over. I love Mac and Riley’s friendship -- love how their bond has developed over the years. I look forward to their friendship turning into something more (looks like MacRiley may become show canon *crosses fingers*).
I can’t wait for some new moments between the two when the next season airs. Happy that there are other awesome MacRiley fans to talk with about the show. Hoping to one day have the courage to write a MacRiley fic. :-)
