If anyone can help, I'm trying to recall a Liveship detail.
When people want to communicate with Liveships but aren't at the figurehead, is there a particular location they touch? Any parts noted for being made of wizardwood, or can they simply interact with any part of the ship? And the voice of the ship can be heard right? I feel like Tarman could Skill words to Leftrin and communicate through dreams, but no spoken voice if no figurehead.

So far, MC Talia can join the ranks of traumatized children held back from what they want by an oppressive society along with literally every female Robin Hobb and Anne McCaffrey protagonist I’ve read except even more so (I haven’t read everything).
