Words I like and Why:

Oeuvre / Corpus: OEUVRE IS MY FAVE WORD OAT!!! Both are such beautiful descriptors for a creatives body of work encompassing any mediu. However, corpus is used for literature.
Opus: A good synonym for artwork or any sort of creative project or endeavour!!!
Compelling / Gripping: I've been making a habit of not just describing something as 'good' but to use more specific language. These ones are helpful for analysis :3
Pathos: I LOVE PATHOS more pathos please!! It means to evoke an emotional response. Any good piece of fiction should have a discerning pathos!!! At least my favourite ones do.
Cathartic: Another emotion related one. It essentially means a release of strong emotions or clarity. It's a versatile word for mental health and also analysis. Aforementioned, any good story should be cathartic !!
Endearing / Charming: For describing my fictional faves hehe
A la: I LOV E THIS ONE. I DO NOT USE IT RIGHT THOUGH LIKE EVER XD. It means in the style of, but I tend to use it as a direct synonym for 'like' when that is def not the case JGFDKHS
Moreover: A short synonym for additionally. Idk something abt it makes me use it a lot, even when it doesn't sound all that nice fdjh
Poignant: It means to evoke a strong sense of sadness and by extension any deep emotional feeling. Another good emotion word for analysis but also understanding ones emotions.
Think-piece: LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS ONE. LOVE IT. It means a piece of writing meant to be thought-provoking and speculative that consists chiefly of background material and personal opinion and analysis. (Definition from the Merriam Webster Dictionary) While I do not consider my writing thought-provoking, it is contingent on my my thoughts and opinions.
Eclectic: This word describes something that derives elements from a variety of sources, styles and or ideas. Someone called me this once and to this day its one of my fave compliments I’ve ever received. I think it's so important to branch out when it comes to style and ideas. Everything comes from everything.
Saccharine: I USE THIS ONE EXCESSIVELY.. It's a great way to define something that's sickly or excessively sweet or sentimental. A lot of my interests r saccharine xD
Indifferent: Very helpful for my emotional regulation!!! Super helpful for when you don't feel all that emotional, but need to be aware of what your feeling
Content / Ataraxic: A synonym for peaceful or pleased :DD The latter is a more tense adjective.
Neurotic: I love this one soo much. It means to be more prone to emotional instability. It typically connotes anxiousness or overthinking, but I like to use it as an umbrella term for any uncomfortable emotions.
Vexatious: A more archaic way of saying annoying or irritating xP
Groggy: Another word for tired. However, it's more the severe symptoms of tiredness like brain fog, sluggishness and or feeling physically unsteady
Expatiate: This means to speak or write about a topic in detail!! Basically what I do here on tumblr, hehe.
Soap Box: Now this is a word I need to incorporate into my vocab more... I do love me some impromptu speeches.
