âTony,â she called, forcing the word out through clenched teeth.
The microphone hidden beneath the brooch pinned to her dress caught the sound of her breath. Every instinct told her to reach for her ear, to check whether the connection was still working, but that was exactly the sort of movement that got people noticed. So she kept her hand wrapped around her card and stayed perfectly still.
The reception hall buzzed with conversation. Crystal chandeliers reflected soft gold light across polished floors, diplomats drifting from group to group with practiced smiles and carefully measured laughter. A waiter passed beside her carrying a silver tray filled with champagne flutes. Without looking away from her target, Ziva plucked one from the tray. The glass touched her lips, but she barely drank.
Across the room, Dessen stood at the center of a cluster of diplomats. He was good. Every gesture appeared effortless. Every smile arrived at exactly the right moment. He listened attentively, laughed easily, touched shoulders and shook hands with the confidence of someone who belonged wherever he stood. For a moment, she understood why people trusted him. Ziva forced the thought away.
âTony,â she pressed.
âWhat?â His voice arrived a second later, distant and distorted through the connection.
âYou missed the last update.â
âSorry.â A burst of static crackled through her earpiece. âSay again?â
Ziva winced. The noise sharpened suddenly as he shifted somewhere on the other end, a grainy screech that stabbed into her ear. She fought the urge to pull the device out.
âYou were not listening,â she said in a hiss.
âI was multitasking.â
âWith what?â
There was a pause, then a breath. âRegret, mostly,â he said.

Rain had been completely missing from anyplace I usually saw him in for the second day now.
He wasnât one to skip out on things, he didnât seem sick the day before he vanished, and I know he hadnât left the Ministry. With some â probably disproportionate â concern, I went to ask whichever of his bandmates I saw first about what was going on with Rain. Ironically, one of them had come to find me at the same time.
Aether pulled me aside and explained the whole situation, how Rain was safe but he was dealing with a fairly intense heat that was making him nearly incoherent. On occasion, he would beg for you and whine about being left alone but then refuse to have you brought in or have anyone else come near him.
Being somewhat of a guardian figure in the pack, Aether decided it would help Rain if I was brought over to him â even just to talk through what was going on. I couldnât stop to think of respecting Rainâs wishes once I heard he was struggling through something, even if it was as natural as his heat.
Aether led me to him and promised me that he would be right outside the door if I needed anything. My steps rushed quietly over the floor as I found Rain curled up over his bed, his hands shaking while he clutched over himself and whined softly into his pillow.Â
âRain? Water-lily? Iâm here, I just wanted to check on you.â I called to him gently.Â
He sighed, a faint whimper muffling into the pillow under his face.
âShould I get you some water? Maybe something to eat?â
âMm-mm. I donât need that stuff.â
âWhat do you need, Rainy?âÂ
He sighed again and his watery eyes peeked over to me pitifully, âI⌠Something different is happening this time. I donât wanna scare you. You should go.â
âScare me?â I asked incredulously, taking a seat at his bedside. âNever, Rainy, Iâm here for you.â
âItâs not⌠human.â
âWhat is it, Rain?â
He gave me a worried look and shut his eyes before giving an answer: âItâs a tentacle.â
âHuh? What is?â
He let out a more embarrassed sigh that time, âYou know my bottom growth? This time around, it turned into a tentacle and itâs so sensitive⌠I feel, I feel everything so much harder during this heat.â
âAww, Rain, thatâs okay. Iâll help you however I can.â
âHow?â He whined. âItâs a fucking tentacle! It moves on its own, what are you going to do with it?â
I set a hand pointedly over his back, âIâll help you. Just tell me what feels good or what you want me to try and Iâll do it. Any time you get heats, you know it never helps to ignore it â that just makes it worse.â
He turned away, facing the wall and making a noise of exasperation, âI know you want to help, but what if it grosses you out or something? I donât think I can face you again if y- ah!âÂ
His body lurched and curled into itself more, Rainâs hand flying to settle over his low abdomen like it would help the simmering ache there. I came closer, running my fingers through his hair and shushing him as he let out soft whimpers until the wave of tension eased.
Rainâs body relaxed slightly but he remained facing the wall, not wanting to face me yet as he slowly began to speak again.
âMaybe⌠maybe you could⌠I dunno, touch it without looking? I- I canât take care of it myself, Iâm so sorr- âÂ
âNo, itâs okay. Rain, just lay down and let me help you. I promise I wonât be weirded out. I might be surprised but thatâs all, okay?â
Slowly, he nodded and turned to lay on his back.
His eyes shone with vulnerability as he looked at me, making himself trust me with this. I was careful with all my movements and in giving light touches to Rain all through the process of getting his loose clothes off. As the final layer came off, I saw Rain brace himself and even my pulse picked up just before I looked down.
Silence was thick in the air and weighed on each second, making it feel like every single one stretched on for far too long. I had enough experience with ghouls to know that they didnât always look very human and could have very different features. My expectation was that the tentacle Rain described would be small â about the same size as his growth â which seemed to make sense to me.Â
Instead, the tentacle grew from that familiar size up to the length of my hand and proportionately wider too. It was a grey-blue color that matched his ghoulish skin tone, the deeper blue tip leaking black ink. Rain looked at me helplessly, tormented by waiting for me to say anything.
Setting a hand along his bared hip bone and watching the way the limb moved on its own, I observed it sway or curl slightly as it rested up along his navel.
I cleared my throat, âYou got worried over nothing, Rainy, this isnât so bad, is it?â
âUhh⌠I guess not. If you say so.â
âDid you try⌠getting off yourself? Just to see what it reacts to?â
âItâs⌠itâs like- well, you can touch it how you⌠normally would. You donât have to fuck me like this though, I get that itâs weird an- â
âBut what do you want, water-lily?â I asked, cutting him off with words and with the circling of my fingers around the base of the smooth tentacle.
A trembling breath came out of his nostrils and his gills fluttered, â A-Anything, just please d-do something.â
So, I did. It was as much a new experience for me as it was for Rain, experimenting with how the tentacle reacted to different kinds of touches. It didnât like anything too fast or rough, the skin of it was unbelievably smooth, and the suckers at the underside felt kind of funny on my hand.
Pulling away from the grip of the suckers would make Rain start whining more. That was only with my hands. I tried using my mouth on it, only able to engulf the very tip since it only continued to get wider down towards the base. The suckers liked being flicked at with my tongue, sucking in my cheeks around it made more of the ink drip into my mouth.
I started to just use my tongue to trail along the underside, trying to give each of the suckers some attention. That got Rain very wound up, a puddle of pitch-black ink forming below.Â
âCan I go further?â I asked him, waiting for Rain to seem a little less hazy.
âHm? Uh, like how?â
âYou can use it on me later, but I wanna feel it⌠inside.â
His eyes went wide and he blinked, some kind of rush going through his frame as he laid there, âI- ah, are you sure?â
âYes, Rain. Iâm asking you if youâre okay with it.â
âMhm.â He mumbled, nodding to me as a pale blue flush came over his cheeks.Â
I moved up to straddle his lap, using a hand to help position the tip into place.
Rain seemed to be exerting some kind of force, trying to keep the limb rigid and bring his hips up to meet me when he already felt so wound-up that he was practically shaking already. As he just barely slipped it inside, his eyes shut tightly and he let out a broken groan.
His plush lips stayed parted and he whimpered at the feeling of me gradually going lower. My hands were splayed over his torso, reaching up to cradle his face or rake through his dark hair. Rain tossed his head, growing louder than Iâve ever heard him and hissing in breaths through gritted teeth.
His whole frame was trembling as he struggled to control himself and I loved the sight of him feeling things so intensely. His fingers were digging into my sides, luckily after he retracted his claws. His breaths rushed from between his gritted teeth.
As I managed to seat myself at the widest part of the base, I could feel the limb moving through my walls like it was feeling out exactly where to add pressure. The tip brushed just over the right spot and I felt every muscle in my body clench. Rain groaned, his chest heaving and eyes still shut tight.
Then, the suckers on the underside kicked in. Never had I felt something so strange yet good, the gentle suction at my inner walls seemed to bring me to the edge unbelievably fast. What I assumed was the ink was gushing within me â Rain apparently being as close as I was.
From one little motion of coming up and re-seating myself over his hips, the dam burst. The suction tugged perfectly and the tip of the tentacle grazed into just the right place to make my whole body shake as I leaned over Rainâs frame at the wash of pleasure soaking through my low abdomen.
Rain was whimpering, tears glistening along his cheeks as they rolled down from his shut eyes and his hips stuttering to attempt an instinctive thrusting motion.Â
Everything seemed utterly silent for a few moments aside from us catching our rushing breaths. I was laying over Rainâs body, his skin feeling far warmer than it usually did. Beads of sweat dripped down from my temples. The tentacle went limp inside me and I felt the slick rush of its ink seeping out. I slowly propped myself up on my forearms, using my hand to brush away stray waves from Rainâs blue-flushed face.Â
âYou feel any better?â I asked softly.
âMhm.â He hummed, his eyes shut lightly in bliss. âJusâ sensitive.â
âIâd get up if I could. You already made a mess, your bed is gonna look flooded if I move.â
âItâll look like that anyways by the time Iâm done with you.â Rain spoke, his voice sounding gruffer.
âOh?â
âNot stopping now.âÂ
âYou sure? You seemed so nervous beforeâŚâ I teased as he opened his eyes, the pupils covering almost the entirety of his irises.
âI n-need more. Itâs better. If we go again, itâll be better too.âÂ
I chuckled and traced a finger over the elongated fangs that had come out of his gums, âYou look like youâre ready to take the lead now.â
Rain didnât seem to think an answer was necessary, not when he used his grip on my hips to shove me down where he was laying before and hover over me instead.Â
a/n: I started it off wrong with "dew" instead of "sodo" so instead of sorting through it, I just changed the name & im sorry if that wasn't what you wanted!! I'll have requests open soon if you'd like to ask for sodo
pic from pinterest
Dew was still a little pissy after heâd shorn all his borrowed winter clothes to a puddle on the ground. Skating wasnât really his forte in the first place, then he wasnât too happy about having to be caught by Rain and me as he slipped. His claws had torn through the leather of the skates and the claws on his hands had gotten trapped in the ice from trying to steady himself over it. That act of clumsiness was a bit of a blow and he was curling up on the ground away from us. His tail curled protectively around himself and he had a narrow-eyed gaze subtly focused on us; he didnât want to be bothered but he didnât want to be entirely left out.
As Rain and I looked to one another with a knowing glance, we took separate ways out of the room then returned with arms full of blankets or pillows. Dew stayed quiet and watched. Some movie was on in the background while we rearranged the room to set up a fort all across the floor. We moved chairs into the room, flipping them around to act as supports for the blanket ceilings. As much as Dew could act like this was silly, he secretly enjoyed it and made it plain every time someone constructed a blanket nest or fort. It mightâve been childish and simple but it was comforting, especially since it only worked if someone else was around for him to curl up to.
âLooks about ready.â Rain remarked, a kind smile on his face as he looked across the constructed fort over to me.
âYeah, I think so too. Iâll bring some snacks and something warm to drink for all three of us. What do you guys want?â
âTea. Whatever kind there is.â Rain answering nonchalantly, dipping down to get under the blanket ceiling and curling up to one of the pillows.
âDew?â
He raised his head in confusion, âMe?â
I nodded, seeing his demeanor shift from wanting to be left alone to wanting to join us. He sat up and scratched at the base of one of his horns, âUm, the same, I guess. Better if it has some cinnamon.â
I smiled and reached to scratch at his head, holding back a laugh at the stuttered purr of approval he let out, âIâll be right back.â
When I did get back, with arms full and very very careful movements, the boys were slotted beside one another. Dew seemed in a much better mood than before, eased by Rainâs generally laid-back nature and distracted from the incident earlier. As I made my way in, they coaxed me in between them and we laid back against the pillows, staring up at the star-printed blanket ceiling as we talked comfortably about how the plans for the next tour were looking. Any stresses of the week before seemed to just fade from memory.
Dew even brought up the incident on the ice, despite his initial embarrassment. Though, granted, he was expressing that he never wanted to try skating again and that his fingers hurt from the way the claws had dug into the layer of ice. His ears were pricked back up and his tail relaxed against the ground. Rain, as expected, easily fell asleep curled into my side while I tried to smooth away any pain around Dewâs claws, grateful hums or relaxed purrs starting to sound from his throat.
Only when we woke up in the middle of the night did we realize we slept most of the day away in the blanket fort.
Any random headcanons about Pynch please! PS- your headcanons are actually my life thank you so much for doing them!
I cheated because this isnât random at all, in fact, itâs entirely too calculated for itâs own good. But have part 3 of the rain fic (or What the Water Gave Me, as itâs known on Ao3)! And before everyone demands another part, (because you willâŚ) I wonât leave you hanging for long, I promise.
Rain fic Part 3
âRonan,â Adam heaves his name, that heavy twofold syllable word that scrapes along his throat gone dry and gasps out of him like a runnerâs breath. He inhales and exhales, a rapid one-two punch at his quickening heart rattling away in his chest. Ronanâs mouth is still halfway to chasing up their last kiss, sealing the space between them once more in zealous haste.
Adam presses a gentle hand against Ronanâs heart. It too makes its bid for freedom from oppressive ribs, but Adam holds firm. He huffs another breath, tilting his head away. âRonan,â he addresses him more clearly. His fine, gold-spun eyelashes flutter upward as blue meets blue, glance to glance, gaze to gaze. Adam searches for his words before that vertigo of falling headfirst into the stormy sea of Ronanâs eyes hits him again. He breathes.
One two.
âDo  you haveâŚâ but he canât finish his sentence. What he asks for now hangs substantial between them, this thing that could make or break them in one fell swoop.
Ronan breathes, one two, nuzzling the tip of his nose against the crease of Adamâs own as he presses his forehead flush against him. âIn my back pocket,â he murmurs by way of response to Adamâs half-unanswered question.
Adamâs heart kicks up its pace as the hand on Ronanâs lower back dips into denim, still damp from the rain. His fingers snag on their prize: a handful of small, square packages. The pad of his forefinger traces the curve indented in the paper where its contents press against it. He pulls one out between thumb and index and holds it aloft for both to see.
The lime green packaging stares back at him, almost accusatory for what heâs about to do with his erstwhile friend. His brow furrows as he catches the lettering emblazoned across it in bold, slick font.
âDick 3?â he asks, the headiness of the moment already beginning to dissipate at the oddity of the detail. âIs there something you need to tell me or have you been dreaming up condoms for Gansey again?â
Ronan blinks, and he too, stares at the rubber in Adamâs hands as if seeing it for the first time. The tail of the 3 swooshes like a ski jumper, hidden beneath Adamâs thumb. He shakes his head. âKavinsky.â
Adam really does pull away at this. âWell, thatâs the least sexy thing Iâve ever heard you sayâŚâ
Ronan rolls his eyes, catching Adam by the wrist before he can turn away. âHe dreamt them up.â His words are gentle, careful with him in that way that everyone is careful with Adam Parrish in the midst of a storm.
âAre these things safe?â Adam wonders earnestly, turning it between his fingers. âHow do we know he didnât lace these with itching powder orâŚâ
âAdam,â Ronan sighs, reeling him back in before he changes his mind. âYouâre overthinking it.â He leans in, presses his lips to the dip between his brows, and punctuates his statement with a kiss to that clever, overworked, beautiful mind of his.
A laugh chokes out of him as he shakes his head. Completely overthinking it. He takes a deep breath.
One.
Two.
Ronanâs hands cup his face, thumbs laying the groundwork for his latest site of worship along his jawline. Adamâs eyes flutter shut as he allows himself to be kissed. Ronanâs open and greedy with it, elbowing his way in and Adamâs already so full of him. The steady patter of rain against the roof and windows clear pathways in his mind, calmly engulfing his words
What are we doing
      What are we doing?
            What are we doing?
All of it is washed away with the tumult, thoughts smudged upon glass until all that remains is a single two-letter word:
We.
Gentle is Ronanâs watchword. He lays Adam down on his bed with a tenderness he only ever affords Chainsaw or Matthew. But his mouth speaks devilish, itâs own fork-tongued language against Adamâs lips. There are seven deadly sins in his kiss, each administered with devastating kindness. Here, sloth, slow and excruciating. Here, pride, a smile pulled taut against the sharp corners of his mouth as he possesses him, lips to jaw, a prize claimed. Here, wrath, a nipping bite to the throat, right at Adamâs jumping pulse point. Here, envy, fingers dancing over fabric keeping him at armâs length, even with their close proximity. Here, greed, an admiration of all of him, a tantalizing scene of freckled flesh beneath eager lips and palms. Here, lust, a sensuous dance of mouth and tongue and fingers navigating across the long plain of Adamâs body. And finally, gluttony, as he swallows him up, top full.
Under Ronanâs agonizingly careful administrations, Adam Parrish is lost, a ghost in his own home. One hand falls to the dome of Ronanâs head and he doesnât so much as feel his own bodyâs reactions and impulses as he does see it, as if in the act of taking him, Ronanâs cleaved his soul from its vessel, cleaved from everything earthly. He floats above the moment, impossibly hot with electrical impulse as thunder booms in the distance. The lightning that follows lights up this tiny room of his for a breathâs second, one two, before all falls dark and Adam plummets back down into himself again, a spiraling descent like an angel shot down with hunterâs bow. Cupidâs wings bend beneath arrowâs strain and he falls. And oh, how he is lost.
Send me a trc headcanon and I will aggressively flesh it out!!
"Juvia thought she had love pretty well figured out, but a certain Tarot Mage is about to take her for a ride that could change everything."
{Chapter 1: Let It Rain}
"Juvia, come outside!"
Cana watched as the Water Mage peered out the doors of Fairy Hills, looking at the storm clouds in the sky and the rain coming down. "It's pouring, Cana," she said, a hint of concern in her voice.
"It's drizzling at best," Cana shot back, her lips still curled in a satisfied grin as the rain started to soak through her shirt, her hair clinging wetly to her body. She'd run out the door almost as soon as they had heard the first raindrops hit the window of Juvia's room, not bothering to grab a jacket before she raced down the stairs and out onto the lawn with a loud cheer. She probably looked like a right mess, in nothing but her jeans and cut-up tank top while standing in the middle of a summer storm, but she didn't really care. "Come on!"
"Juvia doesn't want to get wet."
"You're made of water."
"Why are you being so adamant about this?" Juvia sighed, stepping fully into the door so she could lean against the door-frame. Cana couldn't help but let her eyes follow the curve of her friend's body; from the waves in her hair to the muscles in her arm, the sloping lines of her collarbones to her full breasts and rounded hip. Shaking her head to clear it of those lustful thoughts, Cana shook her outstretched hand in Juvia's direction.
"Because I need someone to dance with me!"
Juvia's eyebrows shot up towards her hairline. "You're playing with Juvia."
"Not yet, that's kind of the point." Sighing, the Tarot Mage rushed over to the entryway, stopping when she was just a scant foot away from the other woman, and smiled. Her smile always pulled up oddly on one side more than the other, but Juvia kept trying to sneak glances at it so Cana figured she was fine. "You wanted me to hang out with you during a rainstorm, you have to play in the rain with me, doll. It's practically Fairy Tail law."
"Well, if it's the law," Juvia teased, making Cana snort. "Juvia doesn't really like the rain," she confessed, and Cana took a small step closer.
"Juvia, you are the rain," she said softly. Juvia stayed quiet. She wouldn't meet Cana's eye, and the Tarot Mage sighed. Her wet hand found Juvia's cool skin easily, taking her limp hand in her own grasp and tugging gently. "Come on, doll," Cana said, a sultry grin curling across her lips, "we're gonna make you fall in love with the rain again."
Juvia didn't protest too much as Cana slowly pulled her out from inside Fairy Hill's protective warmth, only sighing Cana's name exasperatedly. Cana would have to be blind to miss the brief expression of relief on the other woman's face as she stepped into the storm, her blue hair already clinging to her skin as it was pelted with water. The relief was gone as soon as it had come, and Cana wanted to track down and maim everyone that had wiped that excitement and calm that the rain brought from Juvia's face.
"Cana, I-"
"It's fine," Cana said, allowing herself to tangle her fingers together with Juvia's. She started humming, some old jazzy tune that her mother used to play all the time, and began to sway back and forth. Juvia let out a little laugh that could have almost passed for a sigh and swayed with her. It took only a few moments before Juvia's other hand found its way into Cana's, and the two moved in time together to the sound of rain hitting their skin.
"Juvia feels silly."
Cana rolled her eyes, knocking her forehead gently against Juvia's before sending her into a slow turn. "That's kinda the point," she teased. She felt unduly pleased when the end of the turn resulted in Juvia's smile coming back, a little shy around the edges but more relaxed than she'd seen her friend in weeks. Their bare feet sunk a little into the water-logged yard as they moved around gracefully, but neither woman really minded.
"Why are we even doing this?" Juvia asked, a small laugh in her voice that warmed Cana better than any liquor had managed.
"Used to dance with my mom whenever it rained," Cana replied vaguely, not wanting to bog down the moment with the grief for her mother that still throbbed in the back of her chest. "Some of my best memories take place during a rainstorm."
"You don't think it's... gloomy?"
Cana hummed thoughtfully, this time turning herself under Juvia's arm and prompting a small laugh. "I think there's different kinds of rains," she said softly, not able to meet Juvia's eye as she stepped back towards her, able to feel the heat rolling off of her dance partner from the proximity of their bodies as she placed her hand at the bend of Juvia's waist. "It can be sad, or happy. Depends on what's happening to the people in the rain, I guess."
"Juvia's never thought of it that way," the Water Mage murmured, her free hand resting feather-soft on Cana's upper arm.
"Learn something new every day, huh doll?"
They danced together quietly for a while, Cana's soft humming and Juvia's occasional laugh the only sound heard over the falling rain. Over time, they started moving closer to each other, until Cana could feel Juvia's heart beating against her skin, making her shiver clear down to her toes. It felt almost unbearably intimate; just the two of them with their hands interlocked and sharing each other's body heat, cut off from the rest of the world by the rain. Cana sighed softly, resting her chin on Juvia's shoulder and just soaking in the moment. Juvia laid her head against Cana's after a few beats, the two slowly spinning together across the lawn.
The Water Mage took a deep breath. "Why did Cana want to dance with Juvia?" she asked, her voice whisper soft. Cana nearly stumbled, but managed to catch herself without jerking out of Juvia's embrace.
"Can't a girl just dance with another girl if the mood strikes her?" Cana responded cheekily, trying to avoid the question Juvia was clearly trying to ask. She didn't want this to end, and Juvia's inevitable rejection, however gentle it may be, would surely kill Cana's happy buzz.
Juvia stepped closer. Cana took a deep breath.
"Cana..."
"Juvia-"
Juvia peered up at her with those big, blue eyes. "Please tell me," she asked. Cana sighed, already knowing she would answer the other woman's question. She couldn't deny Juvia anything, hadn't been able to since their first Fantasia together.
"There hasn't been anyone I've wanted to dance in the rain with before," she said slowly. "Always felt too private, ya' know?"
"Juvia is thankful for Cana's trust-"
"It ain't trust, doll." They had stopped turning. Cana felt strung tighter than one of the strings on Redfox's guitar, waiting for Juvia to take that step back and suggest they head inside. The Water Mage's cool hands slipped out of Cana's, and she sighed, ready to step away when Juvia gripped the hem of Cana's shirt tightly, her knuckles brushing the warm skin stretched over the brunette's ribs.
Her other hand tilted Cana's chin up until she had to look Juvia in the eye, and she'd be lying if she said her hands weren't shaking a bit where they hovered by Juvia's elbows.
"Juvia is thankful for that as well," she murmured softly, before pressing her lips whisper-soft against Cana's. The world slid to a halt as Cana gripped the other woman's elbows tightly and kissed her back, tasting the rain and something that was wholly Juvia on her lips. The rain let up the slightest bit, the water warm where it hit her skin, and Cana knew that Juvia's magic had taken control of the storm.
They traded that small kiss back and forth a dozen times until Juvia's other hand came up to Cana's jaw, pulling her deeper in. The Tarot Mage's hands slid up the back of her arms, her fingers curling into the ridges of Juvia's shoulder blades before following the curve of her spine to her waist.
"Juvia," Cana sighed, lips barely brushing the other woman's as she took in much-needed air, not wanting to step away and wake up from the amazing dream she had found herself in.
"This rain," Juvia started, her fingers moving into Cana's hair. "How does it feel to you?"
Cana hummed, trying to find an answer that wasn't unnecessarily cheesy, but gave up after a few moments and just kissed the tip of Juvia's nose. "It's perfect, doll," she murmured, smiling when Juvia giggled happily and kissed her again.
