As someone who's played Pokemon Sword numerous times since it released, I can confidently make a list of Pokemon in raids you should SPECIFICALLY PREPARE FOR, CAUSE THEY'LL KICK YOUR ASS IN 5 STAR RAIDS....
The list goes as follows:
•Toxtricity
BE WARNED. This fucker is the single hardest raid fight I've encountered. It's Discharge, Overdrive, and sludge wave spam will DESTROY YOU.
I highly advise trying to get any friends you can to help, cause Jesus Christ your gonna need it...

I don't raid much, personally, but Remote Raids were a pretty big help before we got a Gym close by. Before that, the only other one was outside of walking distance. (These changes just suck for players who are disabled, live more in rural areas, don't know anyone close, those with limited funds, etc.)
