Shiny Pokemon in Raids
So apparently you can find shiny pokemon in max raid battles? I did not know that until I caught one. It is a shiny Polteageist and I named it Chamomile. This brings my total shiny count up to 2 (I also have a shiny Orbeetle that I found as a Blitzbug on Route 2.) I’ve had no luck in chaining or breeding shinies yet, but I guess my luck has been pretty good so far
Max Raid PSA
Please, please, please, please, please, please, PLEASE do NOT use moves like Earthquake, Surf, or Boomburst in a max raid! I just got out of a raid where this one guy used nothing BUT Boomburst and they were responsible for 3/4 of our faintings in one way or another, either by taking out the last of an ally’s HP or by reducing an ally’s HP so that they couldn’t take another hit by the enemy.
In the end, when we’d finally somehow broken two huge barriers and whittled away the last of gmax Toxtricity’s health, this guy used Boomburst again, and knocked out Toxtricity... but they ALSO knocked out our final ally, and guess which KO registered first? Yep, the ally, so we lost the raid, along with much of my sanity (can’t speak for the others but I suspect they were also pretty peeved).
So please, please, don’t engage in friendly fire in max raids.
