Bruce: That's alright Dick. The first time I had a crush on a girl I didn't know what to do either. Somehow I thought that sending her a note saying "get out of the city" was a good idea.

@shewhowillnotbenamed1â - why do I remember you saying you had been getting back into DickRae? Was that a fever dream? I have no idea. But, hopefully this is okay.
âBeg for it.â
Like hell she would.Â
Raven glared up at Dick, her eyes narrowing as she tried to find a way to wiggle out of his vise-like grip. No luck. Her powers snapped at her fingertips, but she tamped them down before he noticed. She was supposed to do this without the use of her powers, but she was already failing that. Sighing, she tapped her knuckles on the mat under her, glaring up at Dickâs smug expression. She was going to wipe that smirk off his face one of these days⌠just not today, obviously.Â
He sat back on his knees and grinned at her, his eyes meeting hers under the thick shadow of his eyelashes. His lips pulled to the side in a teasing smile, and he rolled onto his back, settling his hands on the swell of her hips. Raven could feel his muscles tense under the weight of her body, and it took every ounce of effort not to grind into him. Last week had been an⌠accident, but she didnât want this week to be on purpose.Â
Raven flushed as she thought about their last training session, which had dissolved into breathy kisses and long, desperate touches before either one of them could get a handle on their emotions. She shivered as she remembered Dickâs scarred fingers slipping under the soft modal of her top, searching for her sweat-soaked skin, drawing invisible patterns on her.Â
His kisses tasted of rain on a day of sunshine. It was addictive. Â
âYouâre getting better, you know.â Dick cocked his head to the side and leaned up to adjust his back, as if he had no intention of moving her from the top of his body. âYou almost got me twice.â
He was full of shit, but Raven blushed anyway. Her hands rested on his chest, feeling his heart slow and breath fill his lungs. Being next to him felt intoxicating, but she didnât want to dwell on that thought too much. They hadnât talked about what happened last week, and Raven doubted they would. She doubted either of them were really ready to face the consequences of their actions, but⌠she knew that she wanted it to happen again. She wanted to feel his mouth on hers, his hands on her body, his breathless gasp of her name as her hand slipped beneath the waistband of his soft, cotton pants.Â
As if he was thinking the same thing, Dickâs body tensed beneath her and Raven allowed herself the small, girlish pleasure of recognizing that just a few layers of fabric separated their skin. She swallowed and leaned over him, resting a hand next to his head.Â
Dick stopped her movement with a squeeze on her thigh. His eyes were far too blue as he looked up into her face, propping himself up a few inches so that their lips just barely touched in a ghost of a kiss. It felt too much, and not enough at the same time, and Raven bit the inside of her cheek to keep from moaning.
âRaven.âÂ
His voice was a breathy whisper and he slid his hand higher on her thigh, burning her through her clothes. It was like he was branding her with his touch alone. How long had she felt like this? How long had she wanted him to touch her like this, but she had just locked away her own feelings? She was a mess, and he wasnât helping.Â
âI said beg for it.â
Oh.
Oh.
Her eyes met his and he leaned up another half an inch, his lips loving against her own as he spoke. âIf you want it⌠beg for it.â
Dick sounded desperate enough to beg himself, and Raven wondered if he was going to shatter the way she would. Without thinking any more, Raven leaned forward and closed the space between them in a desperate kiss. His mouth moved over her own, heady and desperate. Each kiss was dragging out something primal in her, something she wanted to understand, but knew she wasnât ready to face just yet. Dickâs hand curled in her hair, twisting strands between his fingers as he tilted her head to the side, deepening the kiss.Â
Fuck. Raven felt her well placed control slide, and she ground her hips down on his own, feeling his cock twitch with the pressure. Yes. This was what she wanted. This sweet pressure and relief. She leaned forward and dug her fingers in his shoulders, and her hips began a slow, steady movement in a mockery of sex. Dick groaned into her kiss, his fingers tightening almost painfully at the sensation. She could feel their bodies heat up, each stroke or push, bringing them closer and closer to the brink.Â
Dick pulled back quickly, gasping. His eyes were wild, like fathomless storms invading every part of him. With a belabored groan, he shifted his weight and rolled her under him, hitching her leg up high of his hip. Ravenâs back arched and she stared into the ceiling, feeling every inch of Dickâs body press against her. He pushed against her and stilled his movement, leaning over her with a soft curse.Â
âBeg for it.â
Raven cried out as his hand slipped up her shirt again. âPlease! Please!â Tears were leaking from her eyes and fire was licking her skin. She wanted to be naked, to roll over the floor to feel Dick taking her completely and unabashedly. Whatever sense of control she thought she had dissolved, and her hands found his hair, pulling his lips down to hers in a hungry, voracious kiss. Dick groaned and he pushed her deeper into the mat.Â
âPlease.â Raven muttered between kisses. âJust fuck me.â
It was a quiet day at Titans Tower. No criminal that was worth their time had sprung up recently and the police were able to take care of the minor crimes, like mild robberies. One might think that the Titans would enjoy not having to slam people into buildings. However this couldnât be farther from the truth, they were bored, completely and utterly bored. They had all accumulated in the main room, but not really interacting with one another. Starfire was off playing with silky, Robin was listening to some punk rock music that would no doubt make him go deaf, if he was anyone other than Robin that is. Beast Boy and Cyborg were on the couch watching TV, and Raven was on the opposite side of them, levitating just off of the couch reading a book. It was never clear to the Titans which book Raven was reading because they never seemed to have the title on the book.
The Titans had been like this for a while now, none of them moving unless they needed something, but always going back to their original spot. That was until Beast Boy suddenly sprang up and walked towards Raven. This was enough to grab the other Titans attention, especially Robinâs. He made sure to position himself in a way that would make it easy to grab Raven if things were to get out of control. It had kinda become an unwritten rule that if anyone, mainly Beast Boy, set Raven off Robin would be the one to âcontainâ her. Now this wasnât because he was the strongest, that title went to Starfire, and strength wouldnât stop Raven, as she could throw things with her mind. No, strength was certainly not the reason, it was because he was the only one that was able to calm her down enough for her to have some reasoning. They all had theories as to why this was. Beast Boy and Starfire said it was because they were soulmates. Ever since Starâs and Robinâs breakup sheâs been trying to get him with Raven, according to her they would be âjust the most amazing couple in the worldâ. Cyborg just chalked it up as them being best friends, which they were. Robin always thought it was because of their bond, but the only person who really knew was the bird herself, and she rarely spoke out on subjects like this.
âHey Raven,â he heard Beast Boy say. Raven didnât say anything, only shifted her gaze to look at him for a second. âUm well I was wonderingâŚâ he looked around nervously. Robin got ready to pounce, and Cyborg and Starfire were listening intently. âWhy do you read so much?â he asked in a hurry hushed voice, but was heard nevertheless. She didnât even bother to look at him when she answered âbecause I love to readâ. He stood there for a second just looking at her questioningly. After a couple of seconds she closed her book and laid it next to her, making them all a bit anxious. âButâŚwhy? Why do you love reading? Whatâs so special about it?â This question made the other titans a little concerned for Beast Boyâs wellbeing. They all knew that Raven loved to read becauseâŚactually they didnât really know why she liked it so much and were curious to hear her answer, they moved beside Beast Boy so they would hear her better.
She thought about her answer for a second before simply answering âIâm not from hereâ. After seeing their questioning and confused faces she continued. âStarfireâs from another planet and she still gets confused with helicopters and airplanes, imagine how difficult it would be for someone from a different dimension.â
âThankfully I knew English and some other basic concepts when I came to Earth but most of the things I know about this planet are from things Iâve read in books. For example I didnât know what a lullaby was until I read it in one of my books.â âA lull-a-by?â Starfire asked. âItâs a song that parents use to put their children to sleep Star.â âOh that is most wonderful friend Cyborg, we had those on my planet as well, would you like me to sing you all one!â âNO, um I mean we should let Raven finish first.â âYou are the most right friend Robin, I apologize friend Raven you may continue.â âThank you Star, and there you go, she knew what a lullaby was and knows some herself, there wasnât anything of the sorts from where I came from, I have no idea what itâs like, and the only way I would get to experience it would be through reading. Even if I did know something that is common on Earth, likeâŚ.how physical contact shows that you care for someone, I never knew what it felt like. Imagine living your life like youâre behind a glass door, you can see and hear everything but are never able to truly experience it for yourself. I read so I can experience things.â

After Raven had finished she got up and left the main room. It had been a couple of hours since she had left when Robin had knocked on Ravenâs door. âYes?â Raven knew it was him because of their bond, so she opened the door completely so he could come in, instead of opening it an inch like she usually would. As the door shut behind him he said âSo ah, I was thinking about what you said, like how youâre new to this planet too and never got to experience things for yourself, like a lullaby. So I was thinking, maybe, I could give you that experience, only if you wantâ he said the last part in a rushed-tone. âYou mean sing me a lullabyâŚ?â âOnly if you want me to that is, I understand if you donât, this was a-â âSureâ she shrugged her shoulders and sat on her bed. It was only then that he realized that she was wearing a black loose T-shirt and grey sweatpants. âWhat? Did you think I slept in my uniform?â she said with a brow raised in a teasing voice. âI, umâŚâ he started to blush from embarrassment âNo commentâ he said regaining his composure.
He walked over to where she was sitting and started to sing. âYou are my sunshine, my only sunshineâ she started to lay her head down. âYou make me happy when skies are greyâ he moved to the other side of the better so he could see her better. âYouâll never know dear, how much I love youâ she could tell that he had this conflicted feeling but couldnât quite pinpoint why. âPlease donât take my sunshine awayâ he finished off, still looking at her. After a couple seconds of silence she got up and looked at him, it was difficult to know what he was feeling because she never got to see his eyes, the windows to the soul.
Her face softened. âThank you for thatâ she said gently âit was beautifulâ, before he could answer she got up and walked over to her book shelf and picked one up. The book contained a bunch of lullabies, she opened it to a page that was highlighted, it was the lullaby he had just sung her, âThis one is my favouriteâ she looked at him and smiled âMyâŚmy mother use to sing it to me when I was youngerâ it was the reason he wanted to sing the particular one to her, Raven sorta knew what happened to his parents, which was why he was comfortable sharing it with her. They looked at each other for a bit, him getting lost in her eyes and her trying to figure out what he was thinking about. They were like this for a couple of minutes, incomplete silence and unmoving, until Raven moved towards a chair that had her cloak on it.
She put it on and moved towards the door, all the while Robin had kept quiet. She was almost at the door when there was a loud knock followed by booming voice âHey Rae, itâs movie night and we were wondering if you wanted to joinâ without opening the door she answered âYou mean itâs not mandatory that I come anymoreâ she pointed a look at Robin, because she knew he always made her join. âWell we havenât asked Rob about it yet but Iâm sure he wonât mind. We still want you to join us but itâs okay if you donât wannaâ âIâllâŚIâll think about it, Cyâ he sounded so defeated she didnât wanna shoot him down. âOkayâŚâ they listened to the sound of his metal feet against the floor until they were out of ear shot. She put on her hood as she looked at Robin, who had remained silent this entire time, studying her movement, everything she did looked so calm and calculated. She looked at him and asked, âyou coming?â before walking away. He couldnât help but laugh and follow her with a smile.
