Hanten was busy testing his new skill. Blink - Teleport to a random part of the city. He couldn't make a skill that would let him control where he went, that wouldn't be considered minor. He used blink once and wound up in someone else's apartment, most likely startling whoever was there.

Miranda probably grew up in a fairly well-off household, but her parents were often busy. She used to try and play with the other children, but after being constantly the one left behind she occupied herself with solo activities — like playing with her ragdolls. Her childhood wasn’t terrible, but it was terribly lonely.

☄ : Any AU headcanon (modern, school, medieval, and so on)

I’ve never thought about this one, actually, but I think Miranda would actually be the strangely competent school nurse — when not panicking. Beneath her anxious, self-depreciating exterior is a person who genuinely cares for other people and their well-being, and she’s the type to do everything in her power to help others.

I don’t know what took me so fill this part out in particular but!!! I’m going with a cop-out here and saying that one of his pet peeves is having his personal space invaded excessively. He’s definitely much more tolerant of skinship now than he used to be, but if he’s not given some air at times he still tends to get irritable.

Continuing with today’s childhood theme: when he was little his grandmother would fill up an inflatable pool in the backyard on hot summer days and he’d soak in it all day, and she’d sometimes cut up watermelon for him to eat, too; his parents would scold him often about staying in it too long since he’d then want to eat dinner in there as well and it was hard to convince him to come out and get toweled off.

I’ve wanted to mention this somewhere so I suppose this is a good as place as any to go into it—I’ve seen a lot in the way of headcanons about Haruka coming out of a depressed state over the course of Free!, and I guess seeing Haru reengaging emotionally with his friends and become a happier kid by the end of season in that context just means a lot to me, so it’s an interpretation I kind of keep in mind?

What do you like about your writing? What do you think you need to improve?

Mmmmh, goodness, I think I'm pretty happy with my dialogue for the most part. I'm also pretty content with my grammatical abilities? I mean I probably make mistakes and prepositions are especially very difficult but YEAH. English is really different from Finnish so im just happy to be write it as fluently as i do?  Also i thiNK I have to believe people about my portrayal being right uvu/ ALSO, I like to think im decent at describing PLACES... 

Improving ah.... I want to improve on describing otherwise though, I'm not terribly in good that... I tend to leave it away completely haha or make it this ...list like thing. 

sAD FEELINGS... I M NOT GOOD AT MAKING MOVING THINGS SOB. I mean making a scene moving, sad scenes. How write sad scenes. Another is fighting scenes, i prefer plotting it over (either in the process or before it) because then i can relax a bit about it haha. I don't hate writing them tho.

Also I would like to either stop overthinking or stop half-assing things, both limit things a lot. And stop being nervous at leading things if the other is more uncertain of that, it's just sort of stressing. ALSO WRITE MORE STARTERS for ppl..... tHEY'RE JUST REALLY DIFFICULT to make interesting :Ia 

Be more innovative, that's always nice. And advance plot in the thread. And just write better in general! And I should proofread things...

Any tricks to good writing? For example, do you listen to music? Write standing up? Write best at night?

I write the best when i ....write. It's slower when im well-awake i guess uh. Idk. I used to write things on paper first, maybe i could do that sometime... 

Just...write? Write, write, write... etc. I always listen music but if im concentrating too much on the music i switch to instrumental stuff. 

Also sometimes i write things no matter how awkward it sounds and then while keeping that awkward paragraph there i write it again and delete the awkward sounding one. Like ...I fine-tune it in process instead of writing the whole thing and then fixing. And then I sometimes even proofread it but ...rarely...

Most of my favorite novels are YA novels--so like, the Wicked Lovely series, and most of Melissa Marr's works in general. I also enjoy the Eyes Like Stars series. But two of my all-time favorite writers are Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson. My preference to YA novels and writers tends to make me imitate their styles, so... yeah. lol.

Marcy would normally sleep actually in her bed, not hovering above it, before she got to Hive City. So she's very used to it. However, sometimes, she'd wake up and be hovering near the ceiling and her covers would be hanging from her ceiling fan.
