Race bending fan art.
These people who dont like art of Black Elsa and Anna, or Sami Kristoff, what the fuck is with you folks? Who is so threatened with something so innocent and lovely as black queens, princesses and characters in general? I hope such people arent in the fandom, but im willing to bet they will be.
No fandom should tolerate racists. If your favourite disney character seems lesser or worse to you for having dark skin (and keep in mind that this is fan art, which you almost always have to consciously search for.) I want nothing to do with you. Dont give such people an inch, appreciate and REBLOG racebent art and support Fans of Colour.

I recently saw a play about this black detective from California who gets racially profiled while traveling through Alabama in 1962, and so he's arrested on suspicion of having committed this murder, but then he's like, "you're solving this murder all wrong." And the white cops very nearly don't listen to him, but he's so smart that they can't avoid it, and a couple of the white cops slowly start becoming a little less racist (and put their lives on the line in the process), but other white cops and most of the community persist in their racism and the KKK gets involved and it's ugly. But the black detective is basically Sherlock in another set of circumstances (his deductions honestly took my breath away, and he's so proud and condescending, even in the face of people telling him he's worth nothing), and the two less-racist cops are sort of like Lestrade and John, and now I just want some race-bent Sherlock. Because how would Sherlock respond to racism? (But like actually, do people write race-bent Sherlock fanfiction? Can I find this?)
The play, in case anyone's interested, is called In the Heat of the Night. It's based on a novel.

"I wish that the world becomes so open minded that the Disney Parks eventually allow race-bending for face characters."

(edit: and in a bit of serendipitous fate, posting right after my post about this issue!! awesome )
(I don't know why the picture quality is so bad but it's the audio that matters anyway)
I'm saving this in my race-bending tag. For some reason I thought Henry Cho was from Texas. Oops, he's from Tennessee. FORGIVE ME FOR BEING AN IGNORANT YANKEE. In any case, this is very much what I think Mike would be like if he were Asian. He'd just get a kick out of messing with the preconceived notions people would have based on his race.
Other people: Hey Mike, we were wondering if you knew any good Chinese places nearby?
Mike: Why would I know anything about that?
Other people: Erm...well.
Mike: Y'all should try that new steakhouse downtown. Shoot, that's the best rib-eye I've had since I left Texas.
Does anyone remember that racebent Monkees headcanon I was working on?
I've decided that Davy is an Englishman of Indian descent. I've been trying to come up with an appropriate surname to replace Jones, and some online research has provided me with the following:
Jana
Jani
Johar (Which is apparently Sanskrit for "Jewel". D'aaaaaw!)
Janjua (I like this one. It seems to be pronounced Jahn-joo-a. Pretty!)
Juneja
Jonnalagadda (I'm fairly certain this is pronounced 'Jo-na-la-gadda'. I'm just imagining Davy trying to spell this to someone or trying to help them pronounce it, then getting frustrated and saying "You know what? Bugger it. Go with 'Jones' if you want to.")
The more I think about it, the more partial I become to Davy Jonnalagadda.
LE HMMMMMMM...
