And yet SOMEHOW tumblr has slept on this one!
Like others, I felt the need to give the elevator pitch, so I'm putting this one as "Léon: The Professional meets Critters." I found it by accident, and clicked play because the premise - a little girl hires the hitman next door to kill the monster under her bed - was so intriguing. And honestly it's delightfully weird, really gorgeous, and a lot of fun - and now I've seen it once, I want to watch it again to really appreciate some of the plotlines, now I know how they're resolved.
I was going to say that I don't know who the target audience is, but I'm fairly sure it's tumblr. The only thing puzzling me is how they ever got this one greenlit, because it sort of looks like something like IF, but it's not really a kid's movie (it would have given me nightmares), and while obviously it has Mads, it's closer to Pushing Daisies in tone, I think, than Hannibal.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to somehow get to bed without touching the floor.
