Valerie and her team made it through the hole that had been scorched into the earth by Liberty Prime, the towering machine of war which was now covering the retreat above. She arrived to find other Alliance soldiers that had charged ahead of them; Railroad and Brotherhood mostly by the looks of it, some infantry but also the tech experts who were already working to take over the Institute’s relay system and bring it under Alliance control.
This was it, the final day. Decades of terror and death, a year of playing politics with the major powers of the Commonwealth, 2 months spent searching for her lost son, and 568 days of war, all of it had lead to this moment. The fight was still far from over, Valerie only hoped that it would be worth it in the end.

Playing Fallout 4, I got a call for help from a settlement via Radio Freedom about an impending Synth attack. I gather a group of my companions, grab my power armour, and head over there.
I get there and this settler is losing his mind because he saw some of those "crow things" that the Institute uses to spy on people and he thinks there's an impending assault, so he asks me to build up some defenses. I place down like 2 turrets maybe, cause I'm hoping for an epic battle.
Defenses all set, all of my squad have their weapons readied (MacCready, R4-04, Dogmeat, Monique, Charlie MK-1) now all we have to do is wait. I'm expecting a huge wave of synths to relay in.
Then, to my left, three (3) un-armoured Gen-1 synths walk up out of nowhere with their shitty laser pistols and in 2 seconds flat they all get gunned down by the single turret facing their direction. I'm expecting more waves to come after them or something, but the settler comes out of his home and thanks me, hands me some caps, end of quest.
I am seriously underwhelmed right now. What the fuck was that shit Bethesda??
R4-04 deserved a better face too.Â
So, uhh. If you bring multiple companions with you into a vertibird, their faces will just kind of merge together in a nightmare inducing way?? so yeah that’s fun
