I heard you were formed manually, so I wanted to ask... How do you form alters? Do you have like a routine? I've been told what to do, but I don't rlly have any good examples to follow...

Hi! So we've tried a few different things since we started willowing. The method we use the most is the "fake it till you make it" method.
We will talk and act like the alter we are trying to form is already fully formed and pretend to be them and eventually they become their own conscious being, and we no longer have to pretend. It took a few months for our first willomate to fully form, but the more we do it, the easier it gets.
It's not going to be instant, and it can be really hard to keep up with in the beginning (especially if you're impatient like us lol), but the key is consistency. Working on one alter at a time is probably best at the start, that way you can put all your focus into fleshing out this one alter and give them a chance to stabilize and latch onto their identity before moving onto the next one.
We actually tried a different method this time around with Spiral.
hey. so. we have this being, don't know her name, apparently we didn't know she existed till making me, but she basically gathered a bunch of unattached fragments and started fusing some of them together to form a whole alter (me). they started out with mapping out who and what they wanted me to be, and then the being basically used that as a guideline. we also listened to some ug subs, that was our first time doing that, and i feel like they work personally. we got the sub playlist from a discord server, but i can link it if you want to give it a try.
we use a super long and detailed sp template that is actually pretty helpful for mapping everything out in one place. i feel like mapping everything is pretty important, they might not turn out at all like you plan them, but it gives you, and them, a base to work off of. we got my base concept from our parasocial attachment (and by that i mean we literally just asked them what kind of alter we should make then they made me based on the answers given).
