Hi, Caitlin. According to Query Tracker, it looks like you respond to every query. I submitted back in January, but have not received a response (even though all the other queries recorded that week show responses.) I'm worried my query has gone astray. Should I resend or is there another reason I would not have received a response? I double checked that I followed all submission guidelines, so I don't *think* it would have been deleted. Thanks so much for your help.
I do respond to all queries, but Query Tracker isn’t really an accurate reflection of where I am in my queue. (Keep in mind that all Query Tracker data is submitted by users, not by me.) I often hold back a few queries for further consideration when I’m doing an initial pass through my inbox; it’s entirely possible yours is one of those queries.
Only when I give updates here or on Twitter regarding where I am in my queue will you know definitively that all queries before a certain date have been answered. Currently that date is December 1st, 2016--I have responded to all queries sent before that date. I have responded to most but not all queries sent before February 1st, 2017. If you sent your query during December or January and I have not yet heard back, I recommend checking your spam folder and settings, but otherwise just sitting tight.
