Okay, so I was thinking (and teambadassbehavior had an awesome suggestion, so credit where it’s due), Guardian Angels are created when people who are innately good at heart die before they need to. Too early, or before they’re ready. So in order to sort of justify letting them stay on earth, the Gods gave them charges. Someone to guard, look after, and push to do good things.

But the people that the angels are sent to look after are not good people. They’re demons, vampires, werewolves, creatures of all sorts with very blurred lines and a crooked moral compass. And it’s the angel’s job to take care of these monsters in order to stay on earth. Try to show them right from wrong, make them into good people, and most importantly don’t let them die. Because if you let them die, there are no second chances.

The first breath of air was fire. The second was like drowning in water. Then choking on gravel. And finally. Air.

Cold. Harsh. Painful air.

Her skin, her insides, her very bones ache.
