11. What's something you saved up for and then regretted buying?

The only thing I've every truly regretted buying was a SxS and I didn't save up for that, I financed it.

Don't get me wrong, I like the SxS and the whole reason I bought it is because my mom has one and so does my brother, so it was a way to spend time with them.

The only reason I regret it is because I bought it when I still had a car payment, so juggling the two of them was difficult until I got the new job, which came with a raise. It was possible, it was just tight for a while, and I should've done the responsible thing and waited until the car was paid off.

Idril Celebrindal having literal silver feet! I love the idea that a double amputee can fit into Tolkien's canon this way and since it's disability pride month, it's also really nice to recognize it now.

In general, I love Idril. A lot of fanon characterization around her revolves around what a mess it must've been to be young and on the Helcaraxë, and I agree - it's an interesting angle. Plus, a lot of fanon has her acting as the prudent, compassionate one in the family and I like to think she's where Elrond gets it all from.
