I also think Kakashi has severe trust/intimacy issues which aided that lack of closeness. So either some girl from his generation suddenly decides he’s worth it after he’s gotten better mentally (which - no.) OR he meets some entirely new person and Falls in Love. Given his trust issues (esp. post Obito) I’d say again - No.

What I’m trying to say is that in my head, Kakashi and Gai pretty much marry each other (whether they care to do it formally, or purely in spirit given Kakashi’s disastrous experience with formalized bonds) is another story.
