On a really random side note
Rewatching ponies while I clean and I forget how much I hate the episode Bats! And it's complete blantant ignorance on how fruit trees work.
But maybe it's different in Equestria.
But you almost never make new fruit trees with seeds especially if you have different varieties in the same orchard you'll usually end up with gross hybridizations that don't taste as good or aren't to the heirloom varieties you already have growing.
