Haven’t picked up a pen in weeks…months?
Round bird shapes is all I can manage tbh and who cares if I only draw ptarmigans for the rest of my life ✌️

"Far above timberline in mountains of the west lives this elusive little ptarmigan, the smallest member of the grouse family in North America. While the other ptarmigan are strictly northern, this one follows the cordillera of the high Rockies as far south as New Mexico. Easily overlooked, it may crouch motionless as hikers pass close by."

A group of willow ptarmigans (Lagopus lagopus) in winter plumage in Lapland, Finland

Hi! I was wondering if you would consider making a few pieces with ptarmigans on them. They aren't a popular subject for pottery 😂 I bought one of your spaniel plates a while ago and I'd love a ptarmigan plate to display with it if you'd be willing to add ptarms to one of your next rounds of carving!
I've had references for ptarmigans for awhile now, with the intention of turning them into pottery. I had a cute idea for them in their winter colours. I'll have to dig those references out and do some sketching
