I never realised how impatient I am basically all the time until I spent enough time with my partner and trusted them enough to just straight up say "this is making me impatient and agitated" when things are doing that.
Yesterday they asked me if I'm okay because I've been expressing being impatient with a lot of stuff. But I'm always this impatient, I just don't normally verbalise it. And I guess because it's my norm and I don't verbalise it, it doesn't fully register with me that I'm feeling impatient and agitated and trapped... a lot.
So anyway, I'm getting back into mindfulness and meditation and breath work and shit. It's annoying, but it does slow me down and give me more space before I get agitated.
Work is bonkers. I'm officially one of those horrible people who talk about their job constantly. It's hard not to when it's your whole fucking life though.
On non work related things though. Me and my bestie made our Christmas tree! It was a silly felt kit I bought from Kmart. It was fun to make.
Things are going so good. Even in a shit context. They are right now, good!
I'm living with my person! And their beautiful silly cat! Our home is quiet and honest and kind. Which is all I have ever wanted from a home.
We are still dealing with hard things, but I'm waiting for my washing to finish so I can hang it out and I am calm and filled with gratitude.
I have life updates.
My beautiful puppy dog layla was euthanised recently. She was no longer able to walk and breathing was becoming very laboured for her. So it's terribly sad, but it was time.
I'm finally moving out my parents house again. This weekend!
My job has changed into a different role and I'm excited for new challenges. I'm gonna have to learn excel.
I got my autism diagnosis! Officially autistic.
That's the update. I've been so busy. And will continue to be so busy lol

Lmao I'm really off my game today. I'm fighting a headache all day so far and my poor coworker. I've already dropped on her my horrible hysterictomy appt rage and my bff having terminal cancer.
It's not even 1pm.
What further horrors do I have in store for her??
Woo I refreshed my hair so it would be nice for my bday and it's such a great colour. Worth the effort.
Most of the time I love my bright beautiful green hair. But when I have to work directly with students (thankfully rarely), they always comment! And I hate it! Don't comment! Even the nice comments, which, thank you, but I don't want to be reminded that everyone is perceiving me and thinking thoughts. It's just for me! And for my best friend, my psychologist, and everyone on the internet to tell me is amazing!
Im doing good right now. It's my birthday next week. I'm working consistently. I'm about to move in with my best friend. My autism assessment paperwork is coming through soon. The semester is almost finished. My mental shit is in a place where I can work with stuff that's hard. I have a bit of space around all of my emotions and reactions. I'm understanding more and more about how to help myself with my sensory stuff. I have strategies for being a capable person that mostly work consistently.
There's still plenty of hard stuff. But it's so nice to be in a place with myself where I feel like I can cope.
