Dean stretched and tossed his napkin down on his empty plate. "Alright. I'm gonna hit the head before we go."
"Me too," Sam said, getting up. "Oh—better leave the tip before I forget." He pulled some bills out of his wallet and tossed them down. Cas eyed the amount.
"More," he said. Sam looked over at him and smiled.
"More?" Sam repeated.
Cas nodded. "She was—a very good waitress," he said stoically.
Dean's eyebrows lifted and he exchanged an amused look with Sam. "How would you know? You don't eat in restaurants and you didn't order anything," he said.
Cas fixed his eyes on Dean. "Do you disagree?" he asked in a low voice.
"No, not at all," Dean laughed. "But I don't think it's her waitressing that you like—" Sam elbowed him hard and tossed some more money down.
"Okay. Bathroom. We'll be right back, Cas," Sam said.
Finding himself alone, Cas's eyes drifted back to you. You were at another table but the smile on your face was missing. You seemed to be having some argument with the man in the booth and he was becoming louder and more animated the longer Cas watched. You, on the other hand, looked more and more uncomfortable.
Cas slid out of the booth and began to pace toward you. He was finally close enough to hear what was going on.
"This is the total for that shit you're calling food? You've got to be joking! I'm not paying it!"
"Sir, if there was a problem with your meal I would have been happy to correct it for you, but seeing as you've eaten everything—"
"I want to talk to a manager right now! Don't you know the customer is always right?" He shoved his empty plate violently and it slid off the table and broken next to your feet, splattering the remains of his food onto the floor and sending shards of ceramic skittering across the restaurant. If you hadn't jumped back, it may have hit you.
Cas had seen more than enough. He strode up beside you and glared down at the man and his smug smile. "Is this asshole bothering you?"
You looked over at the blue-eyed stranger, confused as to why he was stepping in. "I'm—I'm okay."
"What did you call me?!" the guy roared, climbing to his feet and posturing at Cas.
"You heard me. Since you obviously ate, it's time to pay your bill, tip her well for having to wait on you, an exceedingly rude neanderthal, and be on your way."
The guy's face went beet red. "Who the hell do you think you are?! You wanna take this outside, pretty boy?"
"Gladly."
Prompt: "Is this asshole bothering you?"
