I want to talk about Prospero, as I always do, in the form of a Tumblr post. So here we go! I'll mostly be analyzing body language and not what she actually says though because she's the fakest idgafer ever and her actions speak far louder than her words

To start, I'm a very big fan of the worry here. The shock. The fear. The rush to go and save her best friend. I LOVEEEEEE how much she cares about Annabel even when she so rarely says it, and how clearly it comes across in the way she treats her

Then WRENCHES Duke off of her to get him as far away from her as quickly as possible. Uses her body as a barrier. She does the same thing in ep80 with Lenore when she's a hare away from shooting Annabel, so I love the parallels between those scenes here. I also really like how they're making the same face in the last panel here <3

Here's the barrier a little more clearly. An arm in front of Annabel to protect her from the threat. Oughhh how I love them

Crossing her arms here defensively, now that the attention is focused more on attacking her and nor Annabel Lee. This panel is very pretty but I don't have much to say about it besides that

These are beautifully done. Barking without expecting a bite. Bracing for an impact. THE FEAR!!! THE SHOCK!!!! Not included but I also love how afraid Annabel looks. Because of Montresor, the shock of the situation, her first friend who she isn't romantically involved with about to get her teeth knocked out, all very valid reasons to be concerned and I really hope they all contribute. I want her to think about how the way she acts put not only herself and Lenore in danger, but Prospero as well. I hope she's destroyed <3

And then these after Montresor defends her. This was the last thing she was expecting. The turns tableing in such a way? Nobody would have ever guessed.... Somewhat unrelated, but I'm taking this as more evidence for my willtrespero love shape (will -> montresor -> prospero unrequited love triangle?? line??) because he cares so much about impressing Prospero here. Proving that he's good, he can do good things, he can protect as Prospero protects, but doesn't want Duke to know <3333 #MYFREAKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
