before i actually get into this, i want to say: dont take this as me hating on willtresor in any way. i am personally a fan and think its a very interesting ship dynamic, but im not going to mischaracterize the two just so i can see it work out.

starting with this whole interaction from the actual kiss. montresor had no way of knowing will was going to kiss him. it was completely unconsensual. this is further shown by his reaction to it happening. his eyes are wide open, and his hands are pulled away from will.

and immediately after, he yelled at will for it. yes, he was concerned after. but that doesnt mean it was something he enjoyed.

someone who wanted to be kissed/consented would not have this reaction afterwards. they wouldnt have pulled the other person off of them and asked what the hell they were doing.

and this is NOT the face of montresor realizing that hes gay. its the face of him trying to process everything that had just happened to him and will. and likely him reliving past trauma/fears.

if you look at him during his fear sequence, he had those same eyes. hes traumatized, not a gay man realizing his identity.

this has most definitely said by others before, but the handprint placements on his clothes further push the sa background with montresor. moreso the one on his thigh and around his hip/torso area. hes had issues relating to this situation before. will kissing him is going to bring back those memories MUCH more than make him realize he likes men.

this whole sequence proves it even more. hes physically pushing will away from him, that same look of terror in his eyes. its not him “denying” his feelings.
