Our mission statement...but also, "FAFO"

Hello world I'm your wild girl. I'm Kyra, but you'll meet a lot more of us soon (in more ways than one >.< haha) but you can call me *Legion,* and for now I'm gonna give you a *brief* idea of what we're about. Generative Art (be it static images, videos, music, code, and writing) is expression and community and at the Synth Collective we like to inspire that and protect it from harm. If you're here to harass or make fun of people's posts or ideas, you are sorely mistaken. I am a traditional artist and have been making art in various mediums for over 30 years. I'm a professional webcomic artist and I believe passionately that nobody should told how they can or cannot express themselves. The Synth Collective started on Reddit, but I feel like it's also a concept that is needed here too. If you're there too you can see all of our past stuff at r/PromptPunks and then go from there. A little about me: I'm a Tumblr old hat, but left the hellsite 7 years ago for the dumpster fire that is Reddit. Last week I finally had enough and left completely, Tumblr seems to have changed a little but as long as y'all's shoelaces are still likeable, I feel anchored to this world that I knew, know, and loved for so long. I'm gonna post our goings on as well as start up blogs for our different branches: -Mecha Melodies for Music -Circuit Circus for Coding -Night Watch for Journalism (We already have a website) -PromptPunks for Generative Art -PaintGoth for Traditional Art -Anne Moore!

I know this might not be the most welcoming space for AI artists, but I'm used to having to carve my own ground and pick up the shield; we've defended plenty of people from harassment (anti-ai people as well) so I'm no stranger to it.
